Our experience with Erie was mixed. I can't say enough about the roofers. They worked so hard from sun up to sundown. The heat was so intense while they were working in June. The experience with the sales people was mixed. They were very knowledgeable but not entirely honest about the warranty. We should have asked to actually see the "30 year warranty" which they highly promoted as the difference in their product and everyone else. The salesman told us the roof was warranteed for 30 years. When we didn't receive the warranty after the roof was installed, we called and asked that it be sent to us. The roof is warranteed for 10 years at no cost to us, but after that, it is warranteed for 20 years for parts but not labor. That was not what the salesman implied to us when we bought the roof. That left a bad taste in our mouth. The other problem we had was with the product not being delivered the morning of installation. The workers were there with no dumpster and no shingles! My husband had to make a call to our contact who got on the phone and then things started showing up. According to him, someone had gone on vacation and he was trying to cover his job and someone else's. We had to leave before the job was accomplished and were told that would send us photos of the new roof. We never received the photos. The dumpster was sitting in our yard the day after they finished the installation and we didn't want our grass to die, so we called the dumpster man and he hadn't received any notification that they were finished. After we called, he came and retrieved his dumpsters. We haven't had rain since the roof was installed so I can't say if we have any leaks. I do like the way...
Read moreSo far not impressed! Based on the salesmen I had high expectations. They presented the company as a 50yr "US" company with great reviews. They walked on my roof. Squeezed in my attics. Gave me a ridiculous price the came down to a slightly less ridiculous price.
I told them I still had life left in my roof but was looking to update it for a better look. They said I had some bad wood and some soft spots, there were some install flaws with the ventilation and the wavy roof. But it would look great and they will warranty for 30yrs.
My concern started when none of the crew who showed up could really speak English. Then the stopped working at about 1030a because of rain and left a mess of nails and some scraps on my stairs and around the back.
It stopped raining by 1130 but the didn't come back til the next day. The salesperson promised they would gave i done in a day and there would not be a single nail left behind.
After, they finished the roof still gas wavy spots and there are nails and plastic circles everywhere. And they didn't replace a single piece of wood on my decking.
They did paint the chimney cap and vent pipe and it looks better. But this wasnot what I expected for the premium price I paid. The install manager just made excuses which is a great indicator of what kind of warranty they really offer. Then left there dumpster trailer in my yard from Tuesday to Saturday which made spots in the grass. Even after the following up guy with the magnet. I'm still finding nails.
The install manager "put me on his board" but I have heard nothing yet about fixing the...

An hour after they were supposed to be here I learned they left a voicemail (didn't show on my phone) stating they couldn't make it. Fine, I get it, things happen. But you would think Erie Roofing would have the decency to call back, apologize and MAYBE try to reschedule another day? Well, if they are expecting me to call back, wrong. Very unprofessional in my opinion! ** UPDATE- Rescheduled the quote and went with what they offered. They came to install and the entire process was a crap shoot. I did not receive notification that they were coming to do the install, so surprised for me when they just showed up. The material was not even here for them to do yet. There was such a mess Left behind when they were done, we spent over an hour trying to clean up everything the next day. They dropped plywood in my attic which resulted to a hole in my ceiling. They put the dumpster on our new asphalt driveway that left huge divots. The subcontractors vehicle leaked oil all over our driveway. We were told that the granules would not come off of the fiberglass shingles yet every time it rains they leave a big mess all over our deck. I paid a lot of money to have this roof put on to have all these issues! And now they aren't even returning our phone calls to try to fix...
