They will take your money without hesitation, but after that, they could care less about you as a patron. What a terrible experience and horrible customer service. As a mother of a 14-month-old with over 12 years of lifeguard and aquatic training and experience, I have no desire to ever visit a waterpark. I have enough stress without worrying about my child potentially falling in the water, falling on the concrete, getting hit by older children, etc.
Well, we had every intention of attending a friend of the family's 4th birthday party on Sunday. Upon arrival, we paid for entry which was $24 for both me and my husband. I went to change myself and my child as we were both still in our church clothes. My husband managed to purchase our entry and while we were still changing, he realized our friends were not there. He looked back at the invitation and realized it was the following Sunday. Upon this realization, frustration set in as we had driven an hour to get there. I then came out holding my child as he explained our error and me and my child went back out to our vehicle because there was no point in us staying. We did not step foot in any water except what was on the bathroom floor. My husband did not ask for a refund. He simply explained our honest mistake to the cashier and requested passes for our next visit. He was told they could not offer him any type of refund or future pass. We both left extremely frustrated with the entire situation.
Later, I called and spoke with a gentleman who explained that the Fayette City Council and Mayor have implemented a policy stating no refunds of any kind can be given, but he would call them and ask. As if I didn't already know, he made sure to let me know that it was our fault for coming on the wrong day. I explained how poorly this reflected on them as a business. I hope that $24 goes a long way for them. Unfortunately, this type of conduct seems to be working well for their business. However, I will no longer be offering my business to them which I'm sure they are happy to hear. I have yet to hear back from anyone and highly doubt...
Read moreThe day we went a pop up storm popped up as soon as we got there. Like I paid and as soon as I made the transaction lightning struck. So with that being said no one was allowed in the water which I agree with 100%. I knew they wouldn’t give me my $72 back but I thought they could at least give me a rain check. Instead so that I didn’t waste my $72 I had to ride out the storm for around 2 hours. It wasn’t just a little rain, it was lighting and strong winds. I was very disappointed In fayette aquatic centers policy regarding storms. So if there is a cloud in the sky you might want to rethink going because you will not get your money or time back!Other than feeling held hostage financially it’s a nice facility. ** Reply to owner: if a guest doesn’t want to wait through a storm and lose hours of swim time that they paid for they should get a rain check! After all it’s been paid for. Also I’m not arguing that is your policy but sometimes policies need...
Read moreFor the last three summers this is one of my favorite places to go. It is a perfect day trip and the prices don't break the bank. There's a splash pad, kiddie pool area with a slide and three large sliders for swimmers. The lazy river gets crowded pretty quick and I think the jets were either not working or turned off yesterday. It didn't stop anyone from floating around though. I can get a lounge chair and keep an eye on the kids. The slides are so much fun (even for me). Bathrooms are kept up, but it's a public bathroom so I expect it not to be extremely clean. The concession stand is reasonable with a large pizza costing 12.00. It's good pizza. Parking is free and i've never had a problem finding a spot. I would recommend this for anyone with older or...
