Dragon Inn & Suites — Hotel in Fayette

Would give NO STARS if possible. My family and I had one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever encountered here. First our card was overcharged then there was no hot water in our room. When we reported it, we were moved to another room, but they never brought us the key they said they would. On top of that, neither room had a smoke detector, which is an extremely serious safety hazard. The Wi-Fi never worked at any point during our stay, despite being advertised as available. We have since reported the lack of fire detectors to the fire department, as it is a major violation of safety codes. When we attempted to address these problems with the manager, the situation only got worse. He initially told us he would comp part of the room because of the issues, but instead he increased the nightly rate from the originally quoted $70 to $80 so that the “compensation” would be less. He then became hostile, sending THREATENING insinuations via text (which I still have as proof), yelling over the phone, and behaving in a completely unprofessional manner. Only after acting this way did he try to apologize for his untoward behavior and offer a better compensation deal—but by then it was clear he knew he had handled the situation improperly. Between the overcharging of our card, lack of hot water, the serious fire safety hazards, the false advertising of Wi-Fi, and the manager’s unprofessional and threatening conduct and shady dealings around trying to make the situation right, I cannot stress enough: DO NOT STAY at this hotel, even if you are in desperate need of a place to stay. I will not out of personal safety fears post the screenshots of the threatening texts. The worst part is that our family was in town for a funeral, this added bad experience only increases our distress. AVOID THIS PLACE...

From my experience me and family walked into a room that wasn't up to date,it had such a smell of smoke like a Stinky unexplainable smell and had to go buy our own air freshener and personal cleaning supplies to clean the room ourselves!!also when taking a shower the water was cold not hot!!It got all over the floor!!We literally had to put the clothes off our backs to put down on the floor to soak up the water!!We Killed a spider on the wall that could of bit my family,my bed spread had dirty spots on it,that I didn't cover-up with!!Too Dirty!!Wasn't satisfied at All,Another thing when we go in and out the room door it locked up on us and couldn't get out the door!!We thought we had to call a locksmith to get us out!!Poor Phone Service in case of N emergency!!,Not enough Towels,Toiletry,No Trash Can To Put Your Trash,No Soap,No tub Stopper,pillows weren't big enough,cut on the heater n it started to smoke and had the smoke detector going off loud!Had to get a shirt and fan it to go off!!A Terrible Experience MANN!!I Suggest...

Not sure why a few folks listed as 1*.... I read the reviews BEFORE we booked a room. Here's how I figure out which reviews are worth hearing.... check the person reviewing and see how many times they've reviewed an establishment. I've stayed in several hotels that DESERVED their low ratings.... but this place truly ISN'T one of them.

The room was clean, the pics posted on Google are an accurate representation of what you're getting...

There were towels, toilet paper, no smell, clean sheets, new t.v., furniture looks new, fridge, microwave, pillows were fine... and we had shampoo... oh, and not only was the water hot (I just turned the handle all the way over) it dang near burned my hand... yeah, soooo it's HOT!

We also ate at the restaurant... good place there too.

I can't speak for folks opinions & experiences other than my own, but I would definitely stay here again.... and as for the staff: everyone we encountered seemed really nice...
