One of my favorite "spur of the moment" local hiking destinations. Has very nice low tide beach walking as well as hilly trail walking options. Often used for trail running especially in fall and spring. Lighthouse point is a favorite place to photograph Deception Pass bridge especially early and late in the day. There are plenty of ways to alter what is otherwise a straight out and back trail - lots of side loops possible north and west of Lighthouse Point. Also, the hike to Rosario Head is a separate option or a great add on after doing Lighthouse Point. Read moreVery beautiful even on a cool day with the sun out it's not too chilly. This beach is mostly rocks but it's a nice place to sit and listen to the waves and meditate. Beautiful views and there's a bathroom, picnic tables and fire pits for cooking or relaxing by the fire. Be prepared to pack out your garbage as I didn't see a garbage can there but maybe that's because it's the fall season. There's a dock to fish from as well. You can get a nice sunset at this beach.
