Took my kids here to get out of the house during the pandemic. It's close to our house so figured we'd check it out. Parking lot is small but it wasn't packed so it was fine. I was surprised to see 2 food trucks there and was also curious but already had dinner prepped at home. The bathroom and picnic table area looked pretty old and neglected. The bathroom doors had chains and locks on them so make sure you use the bathroom before you go. My daughter enjoyed the playground but overall I was a bit confused by the layout of this park. I'm always scoping out new places to run and this park was a no-go. There's just not enough paved trail to run at all if you want to get some miles in. I did notice a trail that went into the woods but the entrance looked like something off of Friday the 13th so we didn't even attempt. The park had pretty spots like the creeks and bridge but it could definitely use...

I was looking for a local park to take my kids out to play and maybe hit some trails. I looked up local parks with in my area. This park seemed like a good place to go. To get to the park you have to drive thru a neighborhood. I thought I made the wrong turn. We arrived at the park and the first thing you see is a covered picnic area. One thing was that the playground was closed. We were a little disappointed. The playground was not covered and was directly in the sun. There was a small trail that took you to an open area where there was a kick ball field and basketball courts. There is very little shade. It was clean and has several spots were you can get water. I’m not sure if I will be back but it looks like a great place to have a field day. It reminded me of the old school playgrounds. I guess it would be a nice place to have...

It may not be fair for an adult to judge a park but.... I'm not the biggest fan of Boyette Springs Park. I've actually gone to this park as a child and now again as adult visiting family but it doesn't have the same wow factor as it did in my youth.

The biggest issue is shade. With the weather in Florida, there doesn't seem to be enough shade for anyone to play longer than an hour or so. If you want to sit and watch your kids it's also more than 100 feet away to the pavilion (and is up the hill). The pavilion also isn't well maintained and always seems dirty and has grafitti on it.

The watering hole isn't fenced off so you have to be careful and not let your kids wonder otherwise they can easily fall in or would be tempted to swim (water doesn't look that safe either unfortunately).

This park has SO MUCH potential but right now...

Just as it always has been. Clean, kid friendly, plenty to do and see. My neighbor and i took our kids couple weeks ago. It happened to be a particularly windy day... so we brought the Kites and Styrofoam planes in the field they have just over the bridge to test their flight abilities... it was an awesome day. Kites really soared high on that day with little running action needed to take flight. The field they have was PERFECT for doing this kind of activity. Plenty of room to get the kids out there running around before dinner and bed!
