My husband and I and our two dogs decided to check this place out a couple of weeks ago because of the positive reviews I read. Unfortunately, our experience was less than ideal. There were so many ants swarming the sidewalks!! They were so thick that they would crawl up onto our feet every step we took and so I couldn't imagine how uncomfortable it was for the dogs! If you want to go for a longer walk, you can cross the road and follow the shoreline for about 4 miles(out and back). Benches and a few portable bathrooms are available along the path. Read moreI love this walking path. It is right on the water and goes through the Navy point neighborhood. I walk very early, it is not very busy at sunrise. I have a german shepard so he is only mildly tolerant of man and beast coming near me. There are runners and walkers with and without dogs. On weekends the boat ramps are busy and fun to people watch. Porta johns are hit or miss. The residents have water bowls along the path for dog walkers.
