My husband and I and our two dogs decided to check this place out a couple of weeks ago because of the positive reviews I read. Unfortunately, our experience was less than ideal. There were so many ants swarming the sidewalks!! They were so thick that they would crawl up onto our feet every step we took and so I couldn't imagine how uncomfortable it was for the dogs! We were only able to tolerate this for about 10 minutes and then we decided to just go home. I was really sad about this experience because if it weren't for the ants, the views looked beautiful and I was really looking forward to a nice, peaceful walk with...

Navy Point Park has a paved pathway, beautiful trees, and a nice view of the water. If you want to go for a longer walk, you can cross the road and follow the shoreline for about 4 miles(out and back). Benches and a few portable bathrooms are available along the path. As you walk along the path, you can enjoy the water view, beautiful trees(oaks, pines, and Magnolias), and charming older homes. We spotted Pelicans at the boat ramp and a Bald Eagle flying overhead. There were plenty of small birds and squirrels to watch. This is a perfect nature walk on...

I love this walking path. It is right on the water and goes through the Navy point neighborhood. I walk very early, it is not very busy at sunrise. I have a german shepard so he is only mildly tolerant of man and beast coming near me. There are runners and walkers with and without dogs. On weekends the boat ramps are busy and fun to people watch. Porta johns are hit or miss. The residents have water bowls along the path for dog walkers. Please pick up after your dog so this busy area...

We visited the park during a trip south for spring break. The walking trail was gorgeous, our large, energetic puppy had plenty of space to walk on leash, we saw several dolphins from the shore...it was gorgeous!! One thing to keep in mind...if you go on a day that is overcast, the Blue Angels may not practice. The day we went was very overcast, the cloud ceiling was low, and all we got to watch was one plane checking things out. Still a wonderful time!!

It was real fun visiting Navy Point Park. We just sat on a bench which overlooked the water while eating a little lunch. It was fun to watch a couple people fish, and there was a friendly heron also fishing. Lots of people walked by and were friendly. Nice trees next to the sidewalk. Peaceful and clean.
