I’ve been coming here since I got both of my dogs, a pitbull and a Maltese (about 2 years). My pitbull (Nala)been always friendly and get along with everyone in the park. People that go on a daily basis know me and my dog. Long story short I’ve stopped coming here on a daily basis because of college and work. I came back yesterday and this dog kept smelling my dog so she was bothered and barked at the dog. So the owner of the dog was an old white lady about 70 years old. So when my dog barked at hers it looked to me like she hit my dog, willing to let go of the fact that she hit my dog only because I wasn’t close enough to see what really happened when I got there to take my dog to the other side of the park she started yelling and demanding that β€œ my dog must be on a leash everytime I come and that pitbulls are meant to be on shelters” so we exchanged a few words but not only she offended my dog. she also said to me β€œGo back to your country” I’m tan and from Spain. Okeeheelee Park is a great park to bring your dog at. It’s the first time I had to deal with a racist person and with someone that judged pitbulls without giving them a chance and her dog started everything. And 5 min after the incident another dog was beating her dog and she didn’t say anything. IF YOU OWN A PITBULL BE CAREFUL WITH AN OLD WHITE LADY THAT OWNS A BLACK AUSTRALIAN LABRADOODLE. She drives a black car as well I think a Honda. I know there’s aggressive pitbulls but that’s because of the person and I spent hours and hours training mine. She’s honestly the sweetest. If all the people that used to come don’t go anymore I’d recommend go to Wellington dog park. Every dog is...

Lots of trees and a pavilion, but there are not enough trash cans, and some of the owners are not diligent on keeping an eye on their pups 'activities'. Also had an incident there with an owner and her unaltered boy pup. He was going after everything he saw aggressively. I ended up leaving because she did nothing to control him. Not the fault of the park, just recommending you keep an eye on your babies because some owners don't. Overall a good group of people visit every day. The park Rangers are good with sussing out the bad actors, so if you like to let your dog run off leash in the parking lot, this may...

Dog park facility: 4 stars - mostly clean, well maintained, gates are a bit old.

Dog: 6 stars - dogs are always good. Some are more playful than the other.

People: -1 star - lots of people that bring their dogs there sit/stand and socialize, and don’t attend to their dogs. Someone’s dog came to annoy my puppy to a point that he snapped at the dog. And they immediately saying my dog is aggressive. That’s how dogs set boundaries. Lots of them are regulars and form a tight-knitted group. They do not welcome new comers, and are not friendly...

What I love about this dog park 1) The locks/clasps on the gates are very secure so dogs and little kids cannot enter or exit areas w/o an adult person. 2) handicap accessible paths through the dog park 3) covered seating area (pavilions) 4) Area to rinse off or wash dogs What needs improvement 1) only one water station which only allows you to fill up bowl 2) no pool or sprinkler for dogs that like to get wet in the Florida heat

One of the best dog parks I've been to. Very clean, and there's always a great group of dogs and kind people. Divided areas for large and small dogs, which is typical for most parks. There's a lot of open space for the dogs to run, and it's perfect for dogs like mine who like being able to have their own space if they want or play with others. Plenty of shade, benches, and a fenced in area to rinse your dog afterwards

Love this park. So safe & beautiful. Very well maintained. Two gates to let your furbaby in & lots of room to play. Also a lot of parking space. Wish the had some obstacles course for them but it's overall great. Always they have trash bags and trash can everywhere.
