We visited on a Tuesday in late December 2024. The area on land was closed off. I'm assuming it was unstable and they didn't want anyone on it.

Not sure if you could snorkel around to it on the other side. We setup on the beach right next to the ruins for shade. There were a bunch of hermit crabs.

It was a great view watching the seaplanes land here though. Great...

One of the best spots for snorkeling in Dry Tortugas National Park if you do not want to swim too far - it is very close to the beach. Plenty of fish in between the poles, plenty of birds upon them. Just be a bit careful and don't get into contact with the poles underwater as you might get...

Amazing place for snorkling in dry tortugas. Saw countless large fish gathered around the poles. The beauty and diceristy was indescribable. Also saw a ray with about a 3ft wingspan and a 5-6ft...
