My daughter mentioned this park when I moved here in August, unfortunately, I didn’t listen because I have a service dog and didn’t want to expose him to fleas and ticks which would bring home. I recently took the leap of faith got him heartworm medication that gets rid of the ticks and fleas And took him to the park. This is a very nice park very large plenty of room for a lot of dogs to romp around in and if they happen to get into some dirty activities like mud and dirt, they have a bath near the entrance and exit which you can use to wash off your dog, it’s only been three weeks of taking him to the park and he already seems to be in a better mood and not as horribly out of breath as he was the first day. They also have a small dog park which is great because some of the larger dogs will run over, small fur babies and the owners do get upset unfortunately like public schools everyone would rather attend a private facility, but some parents will still get upset if their pup finds itself surrounded by larger children who may not play nice if you wanna play fetch making the expenditure on a ball wand is Recomended because you may throw your shoulder out since the park is rather large and unless you’re a professional baseball player well everyone knows where I’m going with that one and there’s plenty of tennis balls laying around everywhere so they have...

I love this park. It has almost everything you can want. Starters it has 2 dog parks, 1 LG dog and 1 small dog, or course both are more than adequate for dogs to run, chase tennis balls, and adults to sit and watch then run. It has a new (since last time I was there), play area for kids, by that I mean bigger than my house, and several of those play things. It allows kids to climb or run or swing on one of several different swings, from normal swing, tire swing, plastic toys for them to climb in and swing. It has couple huge open fields for almost any kind of game. It has, very UNINTENTIONAL, a small area of woods for young ages kids (9-13) to run and climb trees and act like a monkey , giving evidence they evolved from something other than parents. (I digress, I don't go with evolution). I went out to check out a hammock I was told was broken wouldn’t hang right, for 30 minute. If interested they also have an inside covered building large enough for meetings etc. I haven't gone in, but outside looks nice. Good for meetings also with...

Definitely a great doggie park! Theo enjoyed his time with all the rest of the doggies.

The park has separate sections for small and large dogs. The small area being really small, but seems adequate. The large dog area being tremendous, great for bigger breeds. Also two entrance ways on opposite ends for easy access.

Three little baby pools for your puppy to cool down in. Drawback is that they serve as drinking too. Dog bowls should definitely be something to add, but there is a hose that you can use for clean water. There’s also a giant puddle in the back of the park that seems to be a lot of fun for them.

The park itself seems pretty well maintained. During our visit it seemed that everyone is pretty on top of their puppies. Entrance way and some areas are pretty muddy, bring towels for your puppy before getting in the car.

There were a lot of dogs for Theo to play with and the crowd seemed to be a younger group. It was a great experience and...

Been coming for a while(2.5 yrs). I've only really been to the dog park portion. Probably the best free dog park in Gainesville. Good population, good size, and reasonable amenities. When it rains, be sure to bring a towel, because your dog, if it likes water, will go into the retention pond or will find mud puddles. There's a large dog park, and a small dog park. The small dog park has more shade, but less space. As opposed to the large dog park with adequate shade and more room. Large dog park has two tables and three benches(one with a roof). Small has one table. Friendly people for the most part. Maintained well. If I were to add one thing, it would be a latrine. People stay at the park for over an hour, and might cut their time short for a bathroom break. Would definitely recommend for visitors as well as residents
