Summer Haven st. Augustine FL — Attraction in Florida

Beautiful beach, more of an area really. The southside of the inlet has a nice surfing beach, but, at high tide the beach may disappear altogether near, "the point," as it is known. Further south, there is another access on to the beach at the end of the street. Limited parking in this area. On the north side of the inlet, way more parking, good fishing on the inlet and off the bridge. A little further north is a beach access with good parking. Also, Fort Matanzas is right here, and for a small fee, one can visit the fort by a short boat ride and absorb a little of early...

We were there before high tide, but there is likely considerably less beach at high tide. Not many people out so distancing was a non issue. A very nice walk with my daughter and our dogs. No ramp or steps, so need to get up and down...
