Waterside Park — Attraction in Florida

The new playground may look beautiful at first glance, but was clearly designed without taking the actual children into consideration. There is zero shade above the play equipment, but there are random umbrellas over benches for the parents. There are hardly any activities for kids above the age of 3. One slide, built for infants. The splash pad isn't open yet and has the same shade issue. Sure it may seem functional in December but come summer, it is an accident waiting to happen with burning hot plastic and kids getting sunburn. A great place to bring the family. The park and splash pad is great especially if your kiddos need to burn off some energy. There are coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques nearby as well. Sometimes we see small alligators in the lake! The restrooms are clean, and there are plenty of seating areas.
