We visited The Lounge Cocktail on Sunday afternoon. The place itself looks beautiful inside, but the experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered two Moscow Mules and were shocked to be served in plain water glasses, full of ice, no garnish, and no copper mug. When I asked, the young bartender—who was very careless—told me they don’t use proper mugs anymore because “people steal them” and that they had no garnishes at all. For a cocktail lounge that claims handcrafted drinks, that excuse was unacceptable.
What made it worse was the service. The bartender was inattentive, and another woman who looked like a manager completely ignored us when I tried to speak with her—she preferred to stand at the bar chatting with a friend instead of addressing our concerns. For nearly $40, we received plain, poorly presented drinks and unprofessional, dismissive service.
We left disappointed and went across the street to an Italian bar, where the cocktails and hospitality were everything this place failed to deliver. Beautiful interior, but the drinks and staff ruined the experience. Not...
Read moreThese girls need to seriously take a bartending hygiene course or something. I watched one bartender throw a half empty bottle of vodka in the trash (not realizing it wasn’t empty I’m assuming) , and a drunk guy called her out on it from across the bar saying he’d drink it if they’re going to just throw it away, so then another bartender pulled it out of the trash can and proceeds to spray the vodka bottle down with a cleaning solution with the vodka bottle BEING OPEN (no top or lid or anything covering the opening) and wipes the bottle down with her hand then eventually grabs some dirty rag and continues on with her wiping process, then another customer orders a drink and this same hand/rag trash grabbing cleaning bartender proceeds to make the drink never washing her hands, reaches her bare hand into the garnish tray and grabs a lime with her bare hand and jams it all into the rim of glass. Needless to say I didn’t even finish my drink, paid my tab and called it a night after seeing all that hot...
Read moreSo disappointed as we like the brewery so much. Stopped in around 5pm on a Sat so small crowd but bartender seem completely out of it asking orders to be repeated 3 and 4 times.
Craft cocktails that had no garnish with them. One of our party ordered straight Gin on the rocks which was flavorless.
Used app to order food that they run down from brewery and after 40 min walked inside to find it sitting in a bag on the bar so zero effort to figure out who was ordering food and where it should be delivered to.
It is a great atmosphere inside and we were hoping for better but with too many new options coming to Waterside I doubt...
