Duck Donuts — Restaurant in Sarasota

I was disappointed with the quality of the donuts. The glaze / toppings never set up. The donuts stuck to the box. Not the frosting but the actual donut. There was no crisp to them like I've had before at other locations. I'm thinking I may be from having all doors open, the moisture from the FL humidity coming I through the doors being open and it being 9n a lake. There is no seating inside and barely any standing room In this location. You have no choice but to sit outside in the sun. No covered seating at all. The shop is super tiny. You step in and the counter is right there. Might be able to have 5 people in there to order and your un top of each other. Not the best set up. Others I've been to have inside seating and plenty of standing room for ordering. There is no sign on the building from the road. It's only facing the middle from the sidewalk. The donut pic is covered by a palm tree. It wasn't easy to locate. Needs a s8gn on the building facing the actual street. Parking is another issue with this location. Mostly disappointed that the d9nuts weren't even etable the next day. Not even 24 hours after getting them. We drove back to northport with a dozen ans they were still soft inside and the frosting was still set. I'd consider not having the doors open. It interferes with the quality of the donut and glaze. I'd also say put up a sign from the street. Maybe add some covering and lower tables. I had asked for Napkins because the dispenser on the counter was empty and I was told there are some outside. I stead of getting some and filling the dispenser. I was really excited to have a duck d closer than Daytona. But needs a bit of work. Maybe it would be better next time. 15 for 6 donuts that we couldn't eat the next day. I ordered through door dash an hour before closing time to surprise the kiddos with a treat ..not knowing what to expect being pushing the clock Absolutely delicious!! Fresh made to order The Doughnut itself was fluffy and fresh The toppings made them even better , fresh ingredients you could tell they took their time with each one (: 10/10 Flavors 10/10 presentation !! First time seeing this cute donut shop . Popped in to look at the menu . Greeted politely, offered a sample and told us about their products . We had just finished lunch , so told her we would be back .

As promised we did . I got a chocolate explosion n a strawberry chocolate swirl ( I don't know what ones she got , but hers definitely held together much better ) my 15 minute ride home and most of the glaze migrated to the cardboard and was kind of dry when it came to the topping . i recommend eating them while still warm. They are very fresh tasting . I thought reasonably priced too for LWR . They definitely get an A+ for friendly service compared to other retailers in the center . Most stores we didn't even get a greeting . Will return and try different flavors and eat...
