Avenue 795 — Attraction in Fond du Lac

Had our class reunion there and would never go back there again ! Food was horrible ! Had small dessert plates it was suppose to be Hardy appetizer what a joke the meatballs didn’t taste right even look weird the chicken nuggets were so dry and the coating around was thick tasteless! The beef tasted like it had soy sauce in it and on a very small diner roll only ate it because we were starving! Most place start filling platers when half empty not them wait untill it’s completely empty than wait for 10 minutes for them to fill! Talk to others they felt the same some walked over to bobs and got a pizza and bought it back wish we would have after we paid $70 for crap food and suppose to include beer and soda but not enough bartenders so took forever to get waited on ! It’s a shame the place use to be know for good food now it horrible . They also didn’t have enough tables for people to sit after people complained they first put some out on patio! A total crap show ! Waste of money ! Heard class of 1974 had there at the old skate rink and had a sit down meal that was delicious for about same price ! Would never ever go...

Last time I was there, I ordered fish fry meals for take out. The price was the same as it was in house dining but with taking out, we don't get the opportunity of the salad bar. So, I thought the price was too high because we didn't even get a salad with take out. Just the fish fry with a tiny container of cole slaw at the same in restaurant price. No salad bar, no wait staff. Disappointed, no salad bar and still same price charged as if we were eating inside with salad bar. This price should have been adjusted accordingly. Haven't been back since. I told the gal that brought me my to go food that I thought the price was very high, her comment was, well this isn't two for one....

Went for the Friday Fish Fry. Nice basic salad bar that included broccoli bacon salad. Ordered the perch plate...it was OK but I can think of several other places that offer a much tastier plate of perch. Tartar sauce had an odd color and taste. Hostess was distracted both when we were seated and when left. She'd left her work station and was talking with other employees at the bar and then gave me the stink eye when I took the bill to the bar to pay. I was supposed to pay the bill at her work station. Her attitude was not rude but certainly was inattentive and unwelcoming. Doubt if I'll ever dine there or...
