I was torn on whether or not to give 2 or 3 stars. This is a nice place with 2 big rinks and 1 small rink but the staff hasn't been the nicest. We've paid for ice, so our child could practice what she needed to. It's $15/hour for ice time. We have yet to get a full hours worth of ice time before feeling and basically being forced off the ice. They have 3 rinks and only use 1. The small rink sucks and has bad ice and that was the one they used for classes. The main big rink is closed down, so the other big rink is used for on ice time/ practice. There are older and younger kids on the ice and the older kids just disregard everyone else on the ice. There can be a younger skater in a corner trying to practice or get lessons in with their coach and they have to continually stop or almost get ran down because the older skaters take up the entire ice, even if that means skating right between a coach and young skater they clearly can see having a lesson. One whole entire side of the rink can be empty and the older skaters always seem to make their way to whichever area they see the young skaters having lessons. And the sad part is, the people and coaches that work that rink, just let it happen. I don't think that's right. If you are paying for ice time you should be getting what you paid for and should not feel forced...
Read moreI think all rinks need a scale of how cold it is in the stands for onlookers so you know what to prepare yourself for, at least for hockey parents. From 'light sweater' to 'winter coat, blanket, and handwarmers required'.
I am typically sitting in the stands in the rink to the right. This rink is winter coat, possible blanket cold. The heaters on can bring you down to a sweater. The bleachers start at the height of where the board/plexiglass meet, so unless you're in the bottom row you're watching through the black net.
3 sheets of ice. One is a mini sheet of ice
This ice arena has an upstairs area that is really nice for warm viewing of you're watching the main rink. It's a nice area to hang out in if you're between games, instead of standing in the lobby which can...
Read moreGreat rink with multiple sheets of ice. Rink A is large and warm- would’ve been nice if Rink B had the heaters above the bleachers on. Nice large and clean bathrooms, concession stand was nice, and the pro shop aaa amazing. My son forgot his mouthguard- they didn’t have his size so he ran back to his other shop to get him one. Plus helped me trim it to fit properly. We enjoyed the Fall Fire Up and will...
