The BitWorks, Inc. — Attraction in Forest Lake

I can't say enough about how awesome my experience was with BitWorks, my first such experience. Eric was amazing and a total delight. He was personable, answered all of my questions patiently and completely without talking down to me, gave me all the pertinent itemized numbers for repair estimate, and once I authorized the repairs, gave me appropriate progress reports. Communication was excellent as was the work performed. No overpromising or underdelivering like so many businesses today. My Dell laptop was totally dead. Eric put in a new motherboard, new keyboard and new SSD and transferred everything from my old HD to my new SSD and cleaned it all up. I swear it looks brand new! Everything on the screen looks just like it did before it all went black. A few clicks at the shop to test drive it, and we were off and running. Brought it home, and it was total plug and play. Pretty unimpressed with this place. They may be able to glue some screens together, but when it comes to computer software and virus removal they cannot do what needs to be done. I came in with an infected disk drive and INSTEAD of doing the “labor” for which I was charged $100 for, they said forget it and installed a free anti-malware program which was trashed by the virus’s within my hard drive anyways before I could even boot the laptop when I picked it up. I wish I could rate 0 out of 5 stars because I was scammed out of my money. 10 out of 10 recommend coming here if you’re someone who doesn’t wanna acknowledge the fact that you’re getting robbed, and will pay too much for something you aren’t going to bother trying to...

Brought my PC in a couple times for lagging issues. Continued to have mild lag issues. My system information said I only have 8gb RAM after getting it back from BitWorks. I luckily made screen shots of my system information prior to bringing it in, showing that my PC had 16gb RAM previously! Opened up my panel and a stick of RAM is physically missing! So BitWorks either stole it (not sure why they'd do that, it's not really worth that much), lost it, or broke it and didn't want to tell me, thinking I wouldn't notice. Which I honestly did not notice for several weeks! I can't believe they would charge me for PC repair, omit a critical part of my machine, and then return it to me with my PAM stick...
