Had my rear bumper and trunklid done about 6 months ago, within 6 months the paint started to crack and peel. I was talked down to and told that the cracking paint was the result of my spoiler (that THEY installed) and they weren't sure if they could warranty the work. After a long discussion, they finally warrantied the work after doing what they could to make it seem like they were doing me a favor when in fact they were just fixing their own mess up. I got the car back from the location with mismatched paint. The manager, Julie, did everything in her power to tell me that the paint matched when in fact, it clearly doesn't. She then insisted that if I wanted a warranty claim i would have to pay for their mess up to be stripped. Then implied that her resistance was a result of me calling corporate when I was unable to get in contact with their location before.Nonetheless, she told me that she is not issuing a refund and that I am going to need a lawyer to get them to resolve the situation. Avoid the headache, avoid the below industry standard job. Go somewhere else.

4 day job turned into 3 weeks. Went to pick up the truck and saw spots missed and new ones made be them. So another week later went to pick it up and they missed some spots they said they wout fix. No offer to give me touch up paint or a discount for bad workmanship. I was done and just wanted my truck back. I can fix it better myself. "In response to owner. " there was no professional advice given to decline.. I went over in detail what I wanted done.. I was very calm and understanding when leaving it behind the 1st time to get the issues resolved. When picking it up for the 2nd time I expressed there were still issues and was waiting a moment for an offer to fix them when there was silence, I asked for touch up paint and was declined. My expectations must be to high. And i was told the original man who wrote the estimate who I talked to disappeared and they didn't know where he was. I don't like leaving these reviews but didn't know another way to get through to the owner to discuss it privately.

First off, I should have submitted this review last October. The crew at the Maaco location in Forest Park, Ohio are top notch! My son and I worked last summer to paint his badly peeling Chrysler Crossfire. Last September, we consulted with Jason L. who advised us on the best way to prep the car for his crew to achieve the best results. After going through his punch list, we finally took it in and chose the base coat/clear coat option with sealcoat.  The results, simply put, were and continue to be AMAZING!!. Can't wait to see the next project. Thanks again for going the extra mile to make this a great experience. I think a few things worked in our favor for this job. First off, we didn't change the color, and the Maaco standard black is nearly a seamless transition to the door jambs. Also, we chose to remove the bumpers, window bezels, body trim, etc. We only rinsed the the car instead of washing for 60 days, as recommended.

In November, my van was painted by this shop. After a few days of waiting, I stopped by the lot, and found the van sitting in their lot - painted, but in non-buffed condition. I noted a significant paint defect on the front hood, and noted this to the guy coordinating my job. He said they'd take care of that.

I picked the van up a couple days later, and it was dark outside, so I didn't see that the paint defect remained. I purchased a "lifetime" warranty (read the fine print - it's pro-rated after a year).

Fast forward to February. The snow melts and I see that the paint job is bubbling in several places, and the hood paint defect is getting worse. I found time to take it in for warranty work in July.

Once I got there, Tom said their lifetime warranty was not lifetime. When he saw the defects, he told me the van was defective - not the paint job. He made an effort to avoid any effort on their part to honor the warranty. After making an effort (that should never be required) to get them to treat their customer right, he relented and they took the van in under warranty.

Upon pickup, I started the van, only to find that while parked in their lot, someone had cut the catalytic converter off the van! Tom and the manager denied responsibility for what happens on their lot, and said their insurance would not cover it. At first, they even said it was "loud" when I brought it in.

So what we have here, is: amateur workmanship lack of integrity (lying and deception) resistance to honor warranty a dangerous lot to park your car in no responsibility for what happens to your car on...

I brought 4 doors and a truck tailgate to Maaco in Forest Park to get painted and swapped with the doors that were currently mounted on my truck. They did a fantastic job matching the new paint with the rest of the truck and fixing the dents on the doors I brought them. The issue was when I had them put the freshly painted doors onto my truck. Miraculously, they misplaced 3 of my 4 aftermarket speakers that were in my old doors and put the old, blown speakers from the doors I brought them back into the good doors. Basically, I left there with 4 blown speakers and 1 of my aftermarket speakers that was sitting in my back seat on the ground. The one automatic window also did not work and neither did the automatic locks, which all worked when I brought them my truck. The lock mechanisms themselves also were not placed back in the truck, so I had to take it all to another shop to get the work finished. They were also supposed to swap factory emblems from one set of doors to the other which they did not do. The truck also took weeks longer to finish than they said it would and they put my tailgate at the end of the paint line because they “thought it was for a different truck”, so that took another week to finish. When this was told to the manager, he tried to say it was my fault for not inspecting my truck more diligently before driving it off the lot. It’s sad you can’t trust anyone these days. Overall, they did great body and paint work, but everything else was horrible. I would not recommend this place and I’ll never bring another one of my...

Customer service or just plan honesty I feel is lost with businesses in America. This company was very unprofessional and just plain rude with the way they talk to their customers. I took my car into to get a bumper replaced that only had damage to the left side. After they finished the color didn’t match at all and a plastic trim piece was missing. I didn’t notice the trim right away but when I called to ask if maybe someone forgot to put it back on because it wasn’t damaged before the replacement the employee stated we wouldn’t do that and that the clip was probably broken on it. He also stated that they didn’t have to take that piece off to replace the bumper when clearly it attaches to the bumper. Sounds like to me that they broke it or just didn’t put it back on. They also said that it was on me because I never let them know right away. As far as the paint not matching he also said that they matched it as best as they could and that basically I just had to deal with the difference. I no longer drive a nice one color car I have a two toned car. I originally went with this auto body shop because they were the cheapest quote but their finished work shows why they were the cheapest. Save your time and your money and go to a better place that knows how to treat their customers for no other reason then because it’s just the right thing to do. Also some advice to this company, customers tend to return when you treat them right with the first experience they have with you. I however will not be one of...
