Gold Star — Restaurant in Springdale

I came to this location ordered large spaghetti with cheese and beans and a Lg ICED Tea w/ lemon total was $12 at menu board got to window it was $16. I asked the young man what did he charge me for because that's kind of high. He said spaghetti w/ cheese beans lg iced tea with lemon lg icee. I told him no icee supposed to be lg iced tea w/ lemon. He must have been new because he called the manager over to help him about 3-5 times. She was irritated by that time because he was cutting in on her cell phone time at the counter. She came over made adjustments then it went back down to $13+. I paid then he gave me my lg hot tea, I said is there ice in it because this cup is really warm looked in it no ice. He just looks at me and shrugs his shoulders. I said well just give me a cup of ice, I got a courtesy cup with about 20 ice chips, literally. I asked him what was I supposed to do with those few cubes of ice I have a LARGE WARM TEA, he just looked at me smiling as his co workers we're watching laughing . I said you all got all that ice in there man give me some ice. Manager comes over asks what's the problem I explain and when I said just give me some "d" ice. She turned into a drama queen and you would have thought I called her everything but a child of god. Now I got to pay $.25 for cup of ice per the owner/mgr.....it's not the store policy it's corporate she says. I asked why do I have to pay for ice when I paid for an iced tea and got a large hot tea. I said just refund me my money, manager on duty refused to give me refund because I said omg please just give me a cup of "d" ice (mind u I've been asking for ice it's 15-20 minutes in) cars pulling out of line now. Manager refused to give me ice or a refund I told her then she's going to have to call the police because i'm not moving. She said she can't refund me my money because she doesn't have the authority to do so. I just looked at her funny because she's the "manager", I politely turned off my car at the window and waited for the police. By the time the police got there about 6 cars pulled out of line. I was satisfied by then because the manager on duty managed to lose that store all that...

Im a truck driver and have wanted to try this place for a while. This is really, really good. The chili isn't like cheap chili, or at least it doesn't look like or taste like it is. I was a little skeptical about chili and stuff on spaghetti, apparently I just didn't know what I was missing lol. I cant speak for all of the gold star chili places but this one has made a very happy person out of me. I got the 5 way chili, the chili burrito thing, some chili cheese fries and a chili cheese coney. Nothing was bad. I ordered through uber eats and everything was still hot and fresh when I got it (thankfully the place was close). If I'm back in this area and have a chance to stop again I for sure will order again.

P.S. if someone from gold star chili corporate reads this, please bring one to memphis tn where I live. Im sure I won't be the only person that appreciates it...

Won’t be back to this location . I spent a lot of money here but they will no longer get my business. The cashier failed to give me my debit card back after a purchase. I called the next day nobody answered the first time , I called later that day someone answered and said they were too busy to check and that a manager would call be back in 10 minutes, nobody did . I called an hour later and the manager said she was busy and that she’d check and call the owner . She said the owner said they had it but she couldn’t unlock the office so I would have to wait the following day to get it. I was not given an apology or offered any compensation for the inconvenience it caused for me not to have my debit card because their cashier failed to do their job correctly.
