KIU Entertainment Event Venue — Attraction in Forest Park

I did not have a great experience with KIU Entertainment for my son's birthday party. There were several incidence that happened on the day of the event, which led to the party being started at a later time. I wanted to have baby shark theme for my son's birthday party, in which I agreed to pay extra for the event space to decorate. My party planner sent over several ideas to the event owner that would work well for his theme. Upon walking into the venue, my son's father was upset because it looked like a Halloween theme party instead of Baby Shark. He asked the event host to change the decorations because Halloween goes against his religion. The event host tried to change the centerpieces that were made out of paper lanterns, cut and paste eye balls, and construction paper. At the party, my party planner and the event host got into a verbal altercation which resulted in me crying because this conversation took place in front of his guest which was extremely unprofessional. The colors that I choose for this event were yellow, light orange, and royal blue which are the primary colors from Baby Shark, but I received a theme that looked more similar to Clayton State school colors. There were several incidence that happen at this event, which ultimately will result in myself not wanting to book with the event space again. The event space did not blow up balloons that were purchased for the party, but instead made my party planner go to party city to get the balloon blown because she refused to do so even though we had already discussed this in our contract. The owner's husband tried to make things right, which was well appreciated and respected. He even tried to refund me some of the money that he felt that I was owed due to the inconvenience. But ultimately, the decorations were not up to par for the additional monies paid in addition to renting the space; there was little to no communication from the event space owner and the party planner after expressing that we did not like the decorations, which resulted in us not getting...

Thank you KIU for allowing me use your Venue for my 50th Birthday Celebration. Everything was as beautiful as far my decorations and my experience with Rodney was lack of communication. I had an appointment with Rodney the day before my party @3pm to drop off all my items, that were required for me to make my party a success. Due to lack of communication from Rodney that he had a 3:00 pm Dr appointment. I sat in the parking lot texting him waiting for him to arrive. After about 45min his wife Timeka finally answer and let me know that he had a Dr. Appt . Needless to say he ask the guy next door to let me in and leave my items. After speaking with him that same day , I went back by there that evening to drop my computer off to make sure my slideshow would work . I own the fact saved my slide show wrong, but the purpose of the day before is make sure all the kinks are out. Needless to say he didn't try to play my slide show til the day of my party a hour before it was to start, because he got locked out my google account. Because I got an alert, I am a proactive person and like I told Rodney if he would have tried it earlier that was a quick fix. That slideshow was party of my 50th birthday that didn't get displayed. .. Last but not LEAST the AIR wasn't working or IT WAS HOT AS HELL in there and he didn't arrive until 5:00 pm to turn on the AC for a party that starts @6:pm. Yes he did acknowledge it at the end and gave me a small refund. I would say to Rodney please make sure you check all your details like AIR. And always to communicate when your schedule change. My My My...what can I say about KIU ENTERTAINMENT! I had a vision of how and what I wanted for my 45th Birthday...Rodney and Tameka gave me exactly what I was looking for. Upon finding this venue from a referral from my Best friend...which had another friend who had a baby shower at KIU..she said I wouldn't be disappointed. I contacted Rodney mid June and upon answering the phone he was very professional..answered all my questions..directed me to the website..and put together a package for all my birthday needs. I then met with Mrs. Tameka and she was just the same..professional and detailed. She made sure she covered every detail and also gave me awesome ideas to make my theme come alive! (It was BEAUTIFUL)!!! I wanted to make this short and sweet but you don't find awesome customer service and great venues all the time..I HAVE TO SAY...IF YOU LOOKING FOR A GREAT VENUE TO CELEBRATE ANYTHING YOU DESIRE....KIU ENTERTAINMENT IS THE PLACE TO BE...their staff is accommodating and professional as well...their venues are nice..BOTH 1 & 2...the DJ is on point as well as bartenders! My family and friends were definitely impressed 👌 in my closing Rodney & Tameka are great with referring top notch service for photos..videos and 360! I'm grateful for genuine people..AS MY ENTRANCE SONG... in my closing.."OUTSTANDING" THANK YOU AGAIN KIU...
