great place. But i noticed a lot of A holes, jerks, All kinds of insults that go here and let their dog off leash. And worse they let the dog chase bunnies and prairie dogs. Saw this too many times now. Its infuriating how spoiled dumb self entitled humans are. So sheltered and coddled they cant even understand the basic idea of a giant animal chasing you down not being funny / cute / or adorable. Go get chased by a Bear or moose and pretend its cute. pro tip you do that out in the wilderness chances are you will not make it back home. Maybe we need a giant sign that says " DOG OFF LEASH = BAD" for these millenials / zoomers to understand since they got that ipad attention span of 1 minute. and worse part is there is a dog park 1 minute away. Did i mention these are the same A holes that leave Poop in plastic bags along the trail? If you cant control your dog how you gonna...

Pineridge Natural Area is one of the City of Fort Collins’ most interesting natural areas. From Dixon Reservoir in the north to the open prairie with its prairie dog colonies in the south, you will find a varied landscape to view here. The area is very popular with hikers (with and without dogs), runners, mountain bike riders and horseback riders. Note that dogs must be on leash in this area. An interesting loop of 4 to 5 miles is to take the Timber Trail on the west side through the Ponderous Pines, go around Dixon Reservoir to the north on the Reservoir Loop Trail and then connect with the Valley Trail on the east side for a walk through the open prairie with all of its prairie...

Small lake to fish on, without it without a boat. No boats with motors. Trails around the lake, about 1 mile, as well as a 3.7 mile loop. Some of the trail is wide and somewhat groomed, the other half is single track. Lots of Mountian bikers. Be aware that this group of bikers has a tendency to not give walkers and runners the right of way. Dogs are allowed, but MUST be on a leash, and you must pick up the poop they leave. There are only trash cans and poop bags at the park lot, so be prepared to carry it. Horses are also allowed on the trails. Connects...

It's a cute little pond with a great walking trail around it, restrooms and a water refill station. Parking is good as well. The views are very pretty, and there is a longer walking/bicycling trail close by as well. Might be muddy after rain or snow and if it gets to bad they will just close the trail completely. I do recommend good shoes and drinking water on hand. You will have cell phone service and it is within just a few minutes of downtown Fort Collins. You can walk the dogs, or the kids here and have a great time!

Very nice place. It's great to have an outdoor area so close to the city like this one. Trails are maintained very well. Only reason for taking one star off was because of the crowds we were there on a weeknight and it was still very crowded. Biggest problem with the crowds is if you are walking along the trails you're constantly getting pass by bicyclist and have to really watch your dog on a leash
