Spring Canyon Park — Attraction in Fort Collins

Truly one of my favorite parks in all of Fort Collins. This expansive complete and total park system with everything you can imagine is beautifully tucked away against the foothills on the west side of Fort Collins, Colorado. this huge area includes everything you could imagine in a park and the best of those things. Bike trails, walking trails, picnic areas, baseball fields, football and soccer fields, one of the most incredible children’s park area, including water features. The 360° panoramic views from anywhere you are in the park is absolutely stunning. All of the amenities including the restrooms are well-maintained and clean. There is plenty of parking and it is very easy to navigate through all the different areas of the park. One of the best features is the trail system with K’NEX with some of the major biking and walking trails that connect all of Fort Collins from the west side all the way to the east side. I come here with my dog all the time and it's been great so far. The dog park had a separate area with a pond for dog to swim in. The only complaint I have is that the pond isn't treated and since covid has happened it seems like nobody has done any maintenance with things like weeding. This wouldn't be an issue except for someone claimed that the pond has been tested positive for some algea that was giving the dogs bad diarrhea and yet that section of the park remained open for way too long without any type of notice that there was algea present. I dont have proof of this since it was just a claim but if it's true the least the parks department could have done was put up a sign. Overall though I really love this park. In addition to the dog park there's a small skateboard park, tennis courts, fields to run in, and an awesome...

Absolutely remarkable place...There is plenty of room for all types of activities...play ground area is well thought out to accomodate all ages...The grass area supports plenty of fields for soccer and other activities....The picnic area is covered for shade with restrooms within close proximity....absolutely a plus. Lots of benches for resting....plenty of parking with Handicap access....

The only down side during my visit here was that there was a group of mixed gender individuals that were very loud and foul mouthed.....which made it uncomfortable for our party because we had our 4 and 7 year old grandsons with us there to participate in a soccer match.....Very dissappointing to see individuals who have such a limited vocabulary display this type of behavior and feel like they are contributing to the betterment of our...
