This was our second time visiting the museum in 2 months. We were so intrigued the first time we had to go back for a second time. The manager, Rosemary, was very informative. She could speak and sing in her native language. The museum was historically informative and very interesting. It brought a lot of interesting facts to life about the southeast Idaho tribes. We will definitely be returning. Each time we went, there was something new to see. Rosemary even makes her own jewelry and sells it at the museum.

The Shoshone Bannock Trible Museum is located on Fort Hall Reservation near Blackfoot, ID. There were many interesting displays of life in the area and the history of the reservation. Many rellics of the tribes and their history. The tribe has a buffalo herd, but it is not where it is visible to the public reasonable entry. Plenty of parking.

Closed during posted open times. Not a free museum. The dirt parking lot was full of potholes and sticker plants. It's unfortunate as it looks like it used to be a nice little museum. I'm allowing a star for the informational boards near the building, looks like they were donated by Pacific Corp and they were worth a read.

The information here is useful to those who find prosperity in knowledge. After discovering how the Shoshone Bannock tribes survived on this land I decided to try those methods I had learned. One month, a blizzard and 2 wolves later I have found purpose in emulating these people. I grace anyone reading this with the advice to come here to learn of the past. I bid you and society farewell as i leave my phone and all forms of currency in a yoda lunchbox floating down the snake river and commit myself to the wilderness to live the rest of my days until i am consumed by worms. Bless our species with a nuclear holocaust so we may return to our roots and become free in the tribulations of the wild. Alas, Instead we spent our existence on the artificial, but one day we are destined...
