On the 4th of July we visited the Fort Kent Block House. On this lucky day, we were greeted by William who offered to give us a historic tour. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions with ease. It is nice to see young people like William care about the history of our beautiful country. Great job William and Boy Scout troop 189 for preserving this piece of History. Keep up the...

Nice and quiet location with great historical importance. We were on a roadtrip from out of state, and we went here because some local in town suggested us to go there, and it was worth it. It was very clean and peaceful to just stroll there and read all the information given there about the place. Took some pictures and spent some quiet time before heading back...

It’s a small historical location. The story behind it is very interesting and mind boggling. Lots of smaller items inside of historical value. Picnic tables near Fish River as part of the same park but not enough parking space near the picnic area. Good place to stop and relax. You have to pay to get in, it’s open only a few days a week and a certain time...

Very interesting site to learn about early history in Northern Maine. The "Trading Post" was staffed with a very knowledgeable and helpful State Employee. The adjacent park is wonderful. Amazed that the blockhouse is original!
