I was on an overnight "Leaf-Peeking" trip to Northern Maine and was planning to spend the night in Fort Kent area. Northern Door was right on Route 1 directly across from the bridge to Canada. Reviews here looked good,, glad I checked them.||||I had a very pleasant clean, quiet room with clean bathroom, very comfortable bed, and nice table for laptop. Excellent WiFi also. Nice HDTV with local cable channels as well as usual news/entertainment channels, even 3 Canadian channels. (I Engllsh, 2 French)||||Plenty of hot water for bath and shower. Read moreThis is my second year in a row, and fifth time staying a week at The Northern Door Inn. All style rooms are a great size and are very clean! Nice seating area in lobby to visit with friends/family. Includes daily complimentary dry breakfast (coffee, juice, fruit, cereal, bagels, etc.). The staff is very personable and accommodating. The snowmobile trail is directly across from the hotel, along with a gas station and several dining options. We stayed again in room #131 which is a King bed. Family stayed in #114 and #104 which have two queen beds and the sink is separate from the shower/toilet room. I think we will opt for that style room next time simply for more space! The Northern Door Inn is a simple and clean accommodation for your Northern Maine adventures...

Very convenient to the shops & restaurants (the restaurant in the front parking lot is awesome for breakfast).
Honestly, couldn't have asked for much more. And i bought...
