Patterson Park — Attraction in Fort Meade

Beautiful little park, we were entranced watching the alligators and turtles around and in the lake. Lots of bird life and vegetation. Cute walkways with pagodas to sit and relax. The sidewalk went in a complete circle around the lake so I got some steps while my husband fished. It doesn't seem to be a great fishing spot, but we might have been rigged up wrong. A good deal of shade. The restrooms were locked so they might have discontinued servicing them for covid, there was no sign to explain. There was a boat ramp for anyone...

This is a nice lake park with a boat ramp. If you don't have a boat you can fish from one of the many piers or just sit on the bank. There are several charcoal grills with picnic tables in the shade. The property has several beautiful live oaks filled with Spanish moss. The walking trail is nice but needs some repairs. Many of the lights are broke and some trees are still down from Irma. This park has several bench/table seats and at least one or two grills if not more very quiet and peaceful has passes to walk on there is one alligator path you might not want to go down but it warns you it's at the very end there is birds and you can see turtles out there in the water it's beautiful it is a very long path that goes a very long ways around the park and a...
