Great little city campground/park on the Missouri River, the same river explorers Lewis and Clark ventured up some years ago. The 12 spot campground offers water and electric, with a dump station at the entrance to use when leaving or before you start to camp.. There is no charge so if just passing through you can dump which we have seen several RV do.. The sites are gravel, long, wide and mostly level.. The water is good pressure and on the harder side, 267 TDS and 7 gains on hardness.. (below 125 TDS and 3 grains is considered soft water).. there are nice fire rings and picnic tables.. The elec outlets consist of 50, 30, 20 with good power at 121 volts AC Site #1, 2, 3 so offer some shade especially in the afternoon on in summer.. think the places is closed in winter for the most part with water being turned off. The view is nice you see the river and bridge that cross from the Fort Pierre to Pierre side and to Central time zone.. :) The town does a great job of keeping the grass cut with crews out when we arrived on monday .. THere is a nice park with places for kid to play and a bike path from the area into town and around. Current rate is $15 per night which is Elec and Water with dump site.. quite the deal..

Affordable, quiet, beautiful view! What I love most about this park is that it is first come first serve. We came just before a holiday and didn't realize it...most of the other parks, with water and electric, were taken and as a last resort we tried this one. Wow we were pleasantly surprised with this park. The view, the play park and riverboat access made our stay here very pleasant. Only thing that was a little bit of an inconvenience was the dump station...no sewage hookups. But for $15 per night I would say this is a bargain.

12 back in sites right on the Missouri River, playground and fishing docks beside the campground. Electric and water at each site, dump station at entrance. No reservations most had fire rings and picnic tables also. fcfs, cash only. No attendants, just fill out the information card and drop envelope with money in the box.

We stayed 1 night at the campground but visited the park. Campground was reasonably clean with water, electric and a dump station. Nice view of the Bad River and sites are spacious and not crowded. We paid $15 which I thought was cheap considering the prices of other campgrounds we have stayed at this trip, some of which were no better than this one. The park itself is clean, well mowed and nice with several good shelters, even a shelter that can be rented with a gas barbeque grill. I would recommend both the park and the campground though this is a little way off the main roads. We were traveling West on I-90, looking for a place for the night, drove here, then went on to Wall (Wall Drug) on US-14 so it wasn't that much out of the way and made a rather pleasant drive along US-14 through...

This is a nice family park located where the Bad River flows into the Missouri. Has camping spots across the street. Historic area related to Lewis and Clark, and there is signage and a map. Swings and slides for kids and a covered picnic area that seats about 40 people. Bathrooms on site. Electrical plug ins available and a counter for serving food. The park is well maintained by the city of Ft. Pierre. Thrre is a parking lot adjacent to picnic area if you need close access to haul coolers, etc. Groups should reserve the picnic area by...
