Dakotamart — Local services in Fort Pierre

Prices are, on average, a little higher than in the Pierre store, but not by much. They also have more sales, which balances things out. Employees are friendly and helpful.

The big draw for me is the deli/bakery. I've loved what they make for as long as I can remember and I'm glad Dakotamart didn't change it when they took over. I recommend the potato salad, orange cottage cheese salad, and the so-called "frog-eye salad". My favorite, though, is "glory rice". Sadly, they don't make it very often anymore (one of my few complaints).

An older location and a bit small, but clean and well priced merchandise. Friendly staff. Ideal place to purchase meat products. They do not have a large selection of products but a couple options of all basic needs. Typically not busy which allows for quick shopping and fast checkout with no line. Located just over the bridge from Pierre i frequent the Ft Pierre location about once a week as it is a change from my daily shopping in the Pierre store. I haven't yet had any bad experience here.
