Update: After going into Vintage Stock at the mall and walking out there with stuff the last three times I went in there. I can now say that GameXchange lost me as a customer.
Changing my review after four years.
I use to think this was a great place to get movies and games because of the deals and how cheap they were. But the have been going downhill the last few years.
I use to come in like three to four times a week. Now I only come here like three times a month. Every time I go in they have nothing new, and all they used games for the new systems like the switch, PlayStation and Xbox are the same price as you would get them new at either Walmart of Best Buy.
I've saw them have the used PS5 or the Xbox series X, and they want it for $750 dollars each. Walmart now has a bunch of the new Xbox Series X and Series X. When I told them that I could get a brand new Xbox series X at Walmart for $450, and they said with a snark, "Well how often do they carry them." I replied back "More often than you with you outrages prices on the new systems."
They never give you anything when you sell games or movies. I brought over 50 DVD's along with returning a Guitar Hero game and Guitar Hero guitar for the Ps2. The guy told me that he'll give me the $7 store credit for the game because it didn't work, but wouldn't give me the full credit for the guitar hero guitar despite that being broken as well. After all that I got $40.
Not only that, my younger brother brought to sell a rare out of print DVD box set that's going for $75 to $100 and a brand new game that's $80 and they offered him $8 for the box set and $13 for the game. He said no and walked away with the game and the DVD.
This place use to be a fun place to talk about games and movies and all that. But, now they don't have anything anymore and they're wanting...
Read morewell back when i was a kid this manager named matt had helped me in a lot of things when i was looking for certain games and rare gems since he is promoted, hard to swallow i seen a bunch of drama happening inside the store. all they had was just video games, consoles and accessories, but this was back in the 2000's era where the employees know what the games were, secondly they knew more felt like a gaming community. now i believe the new management is trying its hardest to wrap around their heads they sell gaming monitors, tvs, comics, anime figures, magic the gathering cards etc. and all this time i go in and browse for something that i'm mostly looking for and drama happens out of nowhere and their prices "i'm not going into details", its a business prices maybe scuffed but its how things are running. and their trade-in was like that to begin with just if you're expecting much more with games like say sports titles they're now even worth much when a newer game just comes out, but the newest games are the "Hot" high prices. i remembered i traded in a "rumble vest" for the N64 and they gave me a high price for that long ago. this is all i'm going to say and majority of the stars i gave is my personal opinion the store is great after many years coming back and look to see what they have and if they don't always call and see if they have one in stock or call the...
Read moreHonestly, the Game X Change nearby me in Fort Smith is a great place to go to when you have/need questions and answers about any game system, and games from back then till' today's time. I've met each and every individual that works there except for the manager, each employee has treated me with such respect and takes their time for each question I have. I'm a frequent customer there and can call me a regular, I've bought a couple game systems there and never once seemed to dissapoint with the way they handle with such care on their customers. If you're just looking around, they'll ask you what you would need or what you're trying to look for, they know where everything is and will guide you throughout the store. There are reasonable prices on such great video games and systems itself, tablets, phones, chargers, etc.. Overall I've never once had a problem with this great game store, the employees are very respectful, and their customer service is definitely a 10/10. Oh and I suggest that if you're into video games an all, or movies, and you exhange a bunch of stuff, I'd go with "in-store credit" because you'll get way more with that instead of cash. EVERYTHING IS A 10/10. Gonna stop by a lot this year. Keep it up guys. Don't...
