This is difficult for me to post but I feel like they left me no choice. I love their cakes, they taste wonderful.. hence why we decided to order my son's groom cake there. I pre-paid for the cake in the amount of $274. His wedding was in October and I called the Wednesday before the cake was to be picked up at 10:00 am on that Friday, just to make sure they had everything down and good to go, they assured me all was good. When I showed up to get the cake and head to Little Rock to the wedding, I was told they couldn't find the order. After about 15 min. they said they weren't sure what happened but they didn't have the cake.They said if I could give them a few hours they would get it done for us, I was very disappointed but what was I going to do, I had to have the cake. This caused us to be several hours late to our destination but once it was ready we picked up the cake, which was already box'd up so we couldn't see what it looked like. Once we arrived and saw the cake you could tell it had been rushed, lines were not even and the biggest mistake of all was that the cake was to be in the shape of the state of Arkansas, it clearly was not. We had no choice but to make do w/ what they gave us. I called once we were home and talked to them about it and they instructed me to send an email w/ pictures, which I did. They never replied to my email but when I called Larry about it, he confirmed that they had received it. He asked if I would be satisfied with a $125 credit back to my credit card. I agreed and gave him all my information. I thanked him for making this right.... A week later I still had not received the credit and called back, they had me leave a message but I never received a call back. After several back and forth calls/messages I spoke with Larry the owner for the second time and he said he would do the credit right then, I thanked him and watched for my credit to come through. 7 days later, no credit. I called today and they said Larry was there but once they asked who was calling they put me on hold only to get back on and say that he was no longer there and they didn't know where he was. The nice lady I spoke with said she talked to "Sandra" and she said that they could not credit my card back because it had been so long since the transaction! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I've asked them to write me a check and I will be going there after work today. Read moreI simply can no longer give my support to this bakery although I’ve really tried to for years bcuz of the taste of the product which alone would get 4 stars. Sadly I feel BS’ed whenever I ask questions like, “are the fresh?” I can’t say how many times I’ve paid out the wazoo for these cupcakes only to end up biting into what tastes like the essence of a refrigerator or freezer unit. It’s been ions since I’ve gotten one from them that’s actually fresh. For THAT much money????😲🙈 I want nothing but fresh every time!! When I asked why they are always barely thawed out, they gave me some load of bologna about how they’re NEVER going to be that fresh bcuz they have to freeze them before serving due to bacteria precautions 🤔, (funny bcuz there’s been some times years ago when they did serve fresh ones without freezing them first🤷🏻♀️); Against my better judgement, I order a dozen cupcakes. 6 strawberry and 6 cherry........ That being said, this is the only place I’ll come to for special treats when I don’t feel like baking, and I’ve been coming here for years!! The service is absolutely outstanding! Everyone is super friendly, and they take the time to help each customer out with their own, specific needs. You never feel like a number, or a sale that’s trying to be rushed out the door. They always have a huge selection of freshly baked items, beautifully displayed for you to purchase… but let’s be honest, they all look so good, it’s hard to pick just one thing! And if it’s a specialty cake you want, you can’t send them exactly what you want, and that’s what you’ll get.
