It has changed so much if you want to go hiking the biker p a t h s have taken over everything you can't get to anything now. The bike paths have taken over and go in circles it once was a pristine wooded area with swamps in it where Wildlife flourished now you don't even see a squirrel or rabbit. Hiking trails are unkept and over grown it's hard too even find a path. Is almost impossible Crossing spy run creek at this point unless you have skills or are a biker.. there are lots of Chainsawed trees and piles to block the hiker paths made by biker use as well. I hear rumors about the making of a major complex being built cutting down the rest of what is left of the forest which I don't believe in I Believe Man and animals should live in harmony but man should come first but there should be some animal life at least.. unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the case in this park unless you go to the zoo which has ecotic animals from other countries not indigenous species.. which I hear is trying to expand to and cut down more Forest. I don't believe the original founders of this park is what they intended for having...
Read moreBeautiful trails. Some are really long (i got lost with my fiance and we ended up across from break & run and the subway on goshen rd) The pond is nice, I've not personally managed to catch anything but some baby cats here though. Plenty of ducks at the pond. The sign says "do not feed the water birds" but plenty of people do still. The BMX track is super cool, snd they have plenty of trails to bike as well. My kids love the playground. There are plenty of areas for picnics, as well as pavilions to eat at. Only downside is there are no inside restrooms, i went a few weeks ago with my kiddos and my girls both had to poop and they took the port a potties they normally had by the playground and parking lot bmx trail away, so i had to take them in the woods and act as a toilet for them holding them up so they could go lol. Love this park though, i visited it so many times over the summer. Def one of my...
Read morePlayground is a little tired. Good for an hour or so, especially after a zoo trip next door, but could use some major upgrades and improvements. My kids usually get bored here pretty quickly. This park has gotten pretty lackluster over the years with things to do. One slide is boarded up and closed since it is missing stairs. It seems like stuff is always removed from this park and never replaced for some reason.
There is a toddler climber and another really large climber for larger kids, a couple swingsets and a balance beam. That's about it though. This park is good for a wide range of ages. The bathrooms are a bit of a walk from the playground. Be prepared if you have a potty trainer or are pregnant or handicapped to make the walk if you have to use the restroom, but they...
