South Columbia Sports Complex — Attraction in Fort White

I live close by so I bring my younger children often. It's beautiful and well kept. The play ground is covered and close to the restrooms, water fountain and surrounded by baseball/softball fields, a basketball court and tennis court. It's walking distance to the High School/Middle School and the Elementary School. It's also across the street from the public library. The only thing I don't like is there are signs posted that no skateboards, scooters, bikes or anything are allowed, pretty much anything with wheels which is fine and I don't allow my kids to bring their scooters or anything but several times I have taken my kids and there were multiple kids/teens riding around on stuff. Once my daughter was almost ran over on the sidewalk. I wish they would enforce this rule somehow because it's not fair to the children that do follow the rules. Also, the bench by the basketball ball court had some pretty disgusting language on it once. I don't know if it's since been cleaned or covered up since because my kids don't go there. Overall it's a good place to bring your kids for sports or to play on...

It's a nice park went there yesterday for a birthday party. However the covered pavilion with a small set of bleachers and 2 picnic tables it faces the first Pee wee baseball field on the right across from playground is very dangerous due to a metal rail running on the floor of the pavilion. My mother who is 75 yrs old and many of the other people including myself tripped over this metal railing that's on the concrete floor. This is very dangerous for children and adults. This needs to be addressed as soon as possible before someone sues Columbia county. If my mother who is 75 had fallen due to that rail being there I would be contacting a lawyer today. So someone needs to get out there and fix this problem ASAP before someone if they hadn't already gets...

My family loves this park. Baseball is always in full swing most every weekend for spring ball. Great park for the little ones as well. Basketball courts as well as tennis courts. Lots of things to do and just get...
