Attended at 9 PM on Halloween night with my two kids. This place runs a tight ship! The venue is easy to find due to the lighting on the outside of the building. And the giant demon, of course. The parking lot runs safely and smoothly and is easy to find. I bought the speed pass for myself and my two kids. We parked. I scanned the QR code and we received a text message almost instantly that we could proceed to the line. They queue you up in your car first. The parking lot attendants make it safe for pedestrians to navigate. There are clear signs everywhere for easy understanding on where to go. When we arrived at the venue, the line was fairly short for getting through security because of the way they queue up the groups. We waited for just a few minutes there then signed the waiver, which they have set up on several iPads. Then we proceeded to the speed pass line which gave us access within five minutes or so. Speed pass is definitely the way to go. We had a group of a few guys behind us that were being extremely loud and obnoxious. Around the time I was going to ask my kids if they wanted to go behind these guys that way we could create some space Security showed up and let them know that they needed to calm down or they were gonna have to leave. I didn’t overhear the conversation because they pulled them aside, but I have an idea that’s how it went. Luckily they did calm down and we were able to enjoy a majority of the experience. Which by the way is absolutely amazing. It took us about an hour to get through and myself as well as my 10-year-old and 13-year-old found it absolutely thrilling. I don’t think I need to go through all the details of what we experienced because it truly does hold up to you. It’s reviews of being one of if not, the absolute best haunted house. When we got out out of the bubble room, which is the very end we got some hot chocolate For three dollars each from the gift shop and a demon plushy that was $15. The hot chocolate was really good. And I love that the plushy has piercing details. They had several T-shirts to choose from as well. As we were sitting on some hay drinking our hot cocoa, the band came out and they were great! They offer some amazing entertainment for those that are waiting in line. And by the way, they had some drummers inside the venue as well. That were absolutely amazing! We are definitely gonna have to go back!

I have been to Cutting Edge about 5 times in the last decade or 2. We went this last Saturday - during peak Halloween season & had a group of 14 people for my niece’s 16th birthday. We had a blast! I was blown away at how organized the queue and line were. Instead of having to wait in a never ending six flags zig zag line for 3 hours - you are placed in a group named A1, A2 etc. You are then directed to go sit in your labeled section of hay-bells to await to be called into the actual standing line. I’m old - so being able to sit before walking through the hour long haunt was great. There are photo opportunities and a concession stand to check out while you wait. We were there on a Saturday & maybe waited 25 minutes before it was our turn to get in line. You are then placed in line and the last person of your group gets a glow stick necklace so the staff can have a visual of when your group ends. Ingenious right? You have to buy your tickets beforehand online at-least a week before- probably earlier. Do not expect to be able to get tickets the day of during peak Halloween season. Don’t stress too much about the timed ticket entries. We had a couple 7:45-8pms with 8-15pms - but our whole group was able to be together. Parking is $20 per vehicle. The parking is in a sketchy part of ft worth but there are plenty of parking attendants and police in the lots and around the Cutting Edge grounds. The walkthrough was great- lots of jump scares and they had great props and details inside the house. It was sometimes hard to differentiate between scare actors and “mannequins”. Cutting Edge is located in an old meat packing plant - or so I was told- so that adds to the creepiness of the inside. All in all we all had a great time! Cutting Edge is a must do!

  • REAL REVIEW * ( i believes the reviews you see posted are fake because there is no way people actually like this place )

background to get in the Halloween spirit, i thought me and a few friends would like to visit a really good Halloween spot. I've been in Dallas for 4 years and haven't been to a good haunted house yet. I've heard of cutting edge, but was always apprehensive about it because don't want to pay a lot of money for a lame haunted house - especially when it's located in forth worth ( which is almost an hour away from Dallas ( without traffic )). I went on a Saturday night at 8PM. ticket cost was almost $60 then you have to pay for parking and they have a card reader that doesn't accept mobile pay . the wait was about 35 minutes. you'll get to see I think some local high school drumline perform during the wait.

They way they try to separate groups is horrible. There needs to be a better system. I can see where they attempted this with different waiting spots throughout the house, but it didn't work. Everyone is still going at the same time..... and so.. there are no surprises because you literally just saw what happened to 3 people in front of you because we're all packed like sardines walking through. Be prepared to be wet. there is a section at the end of the maze where you get soaked in foam. I felt like I just got out of a swimming pool at LA fitness. it was horrible and served no purpose to the theme. everyone knows that wet clothes are the worst.

the actors..... are horrible. nothing but little jump scares you can see coming a mile away. I went to look at other good haunted houses to compare ...and those actors are really acting. they are screaming, performing and playing the part of whatever kind of wicked character you would expect to see on a frightful Halloween night. There was also more effects than actors. I think I saw about 8 different people throughout a 39 minute walk ( they claim it's an hour )

I actually had 2 moments where I was genuinely scared and it wasn't because of the actors.. it was because the effects. they also play loud music throughout the walk that has no correlation to the theme of the house and kinda takes away some of the spooky aspect when you blast random rock/edm music throughout the walk

Summary : I like the effort they put into trying to be punctual with the timed waits, but there needs to be a better plan. you need more actors that will actually act and perform. not just a 1 second baby pump fake towards my face. ( which i can easily predict because that's all they did the entire walk) . please save your money time and gas and avoid this...

I'll keep this review as concise as possible.

BE WARY OF THE BUBBLE EXIT

Pros: High quality actors High quality horror atmosphere

Cons: For 2 people, it cost me $136.06 Parking is NOT FREE, it costs an additional $20 TERRIBLE pacing (more info below) Dangerous bubble exit (more info below)

Notes: It took us 30-45 minutes to go through the entirety of the haunted house. Online it says 55 minutes but I don't believe it lasted that long. That probably depends on how busy the attraction is

Overall: Cutting Edge Haunted House is NOT worth the money. Although the experience itself may have been better if we had courteous groups in front or behind us, it still doesn't justify the $150 spent here

Pacing: There are multiple stopping points at Cutting Edge where a staff member slowly lets groups in. Pace is important because you want the actors to be in place by the time you enter the next exhibit. However, on multiple occasions, we caught up to the group before us, even though we walked at a slower average speed. Thus, the actors were continuously out of place and we missed out on opportunities to get scared. Even worse, the group behind us was borderline speed running the experience and kept catching up to us. This added unnecessary pressure to our own experience because if we sped up our pace, we'd end up watching the group in front get jump scared, ruining the immersion and potential opportunity for us to get scared.

DANGEROUS BUBBLE EXIT: At the end of the experience, a staff member will ask if you'd like to take the normal exit or the bubble exit. We chose the bubble exit and were given 0 additional instructions besides "Hold your arm out so you can feel the wall." The bubble exit is a 30-50 ft dark hallway filled with bubbles, and I mean FILLED. It's fun at first because you can't see and you're covered in bubbles. But the bubbles are so thick that you begin choking and struggling for air while blinded. Covering your face with your shirt partially helps, however, it doesn't hinder the bubbles from affecting your breathing. Needless to say, I was coughing for my life and my girlfriend nearly had a panic attack when she couldn't catch her breath. In the parking lot, a staff member said that the best way to get through the bubble exit is to "walk backward and put your shirt over your head." Supposedly, they don't tell you this information before the bubble exit for who knows why. All-in-all, be wary of the...
