BUYER BEWARE! This place deserves negative stars. The shuttle drivers were nice and tried to help me after the scheduling clerk refused to provide info as to where to check in, resulting in me missing my boat, but that does not make up for the ruined vacation, loss of a sentimental trip in honor of a lost loved one, and having to fight them about the refund of the fees afterwards. I am recently disabled, which I disclosed when attempting to confirm that there were available shuttles and her lack of accommodation is appalling. I did not behave rudely or in an entitled manner when asking for help either. I missed the boat not once but TWICE due to her incompetence, rudeness and lack of customer service. The first because I could not get any accurate info and drove and hobbled all around the area trying unsuccessfully to find the guest services center.

The second time (re-booked after missing the first one) I believe she sabotaged me by giving me the improper check in time over the phone because I was exasperated at her rudeness and lack of pertinent details. Since she didn't send me another confirmation for the re-booking, I did not have any info to validate what she told me over the phone. It might be understandable if I was a horrible jerk or something. But I was polite every time until the last call, which was multiple times with trying to squeeze info out of her, attempting to sort out confusion about the many other tour companies with similar names (be careful!), and multiple calls begging her to help me not miss the boat, while she tried to play dumb and refused to give pertinent details for some unknown reason (presumably because she resents tourists asking "stupid" questions??), before finally rescheduling just so she could give me the wrong time (with no email confirmation so she could later pretend that I just didn't show).

And just so you know, their original email confirmation did not have detailed information as to where to check in to "guest services" - only to take a shuttle to the Marina after checking in. Their offices are apparently located near the restaurant on the lake, which is not visible from anywhere, including the upper offices (where the guest services is apparently located), so it is confusing. You cannot see where it is from either the brown building up top, or down below at the public boat ramp because of the hill. And there are no clear signs, nor any information on their website without substantial digging which I found after the fact during the credit card dispute process.

In actuality it is very simple if you just ask one of the nice shuttle drivers just don't get confused by the incompetent woman on the phone. Even after disputing the charge with my credit card company, the tour company dishonestly claimed that I just didn't show for my scheduled tour!!

I recommend you take your business to a company that doesn't hate the tourists they serve. There were so many opportunities to clear up this misunderstanding that the only explanation is deliberate sabotage. When there is no one to talk to except that rude young woman, and when she can simply claim the customer never showed and still get paid, there is nothing keeping them accountable. The reviews say the tour guides and the ride is great, but I'd say go with a different company - that customer service woman is callous and a liability - not...

I truly do not like to leave bad reviews. As someone who works customer service for a small business, I always try to give the benefit of the doubt when things go wrong or mistakes are made. On the flip side of that, working in customer service, I always make it a priority to validate my customers concerns and make things right for them.

That being said, I cannot recommend doing business with Antelope Point Marina. After renting a kayak and being issued a refund for the security deposit, I checked my account and the refund had not been deposited. After double checking my receipt, it appeared that they had the incorrect card on file, as the last four digits of the card on the receipt did not match any of my credit cards. I checked my account and discovered that I was in fact charged for the rental and security deposit. I contacted Carlena, the manager, who could not even pretend to be concerned for the error or apologetic for the mixup. She insisted that they could not refund a card that was not originally charged, refusing to accept that my card WAS indeed charged, but that for whatever reason, their system had the wrong card number on file. Carlena refused to offer any assistance or assurance that she would look into my issue further. Rather, she responded defensively with an incredibly rude attitude. If something like this had happened to one of my customers, I’d have told them something along the lines of: “I’m so sorry for the mixup, I will absolutely look into this for you to see what sort of resolution we can offer.” Carlena never apologized for the error, and flat out refused to investigate the issue, but rather chose to argue with me and use gaslighting tactics to tell me that I had in fact entered to card number they had on file, which was entirely false. I told her I would be filing a dispute with my credit card company, which I did immediately after hanging up the phone with her. To my surprise, when I checked my credit card statement two days later, a credit was issued from Antelope Point Marina to my account—the same account Carlena insisted she wouldn’t be able to credit “because it wasn’t the original account charged”. The marina did not send me a receipt for this credit, nor have they responded to the dispute from my credit card company. While I am glad that I got my money back, I am still quite upset at the way Carlena treated me. What I originally thought to be an honest mistake/glitch in their system, I now believe to be some sort of scam or shady attempt to pocket the security deposit, based on the absurd lack of customer service I was offered. Further, I have to believe that if whoever finally issued the credit to my account did so through proper procedure, would have sent me a receipt. I hope this description of my experience makes sense, as the situation was entirely confusing and convoluted. But what is very clear is that you won’t be receiving any semblance of good customer service from this business: if my supervisor was made aware that I had treated a customer the way Carlena treated me, I would be out of a job. Moral of the story, this company is untrustworthy and I would never trust them with my credit card...

I have used antelope point marina about 4 years ago and had a great experience but this week was very different. We showed up and no one wanted to talk to us they just stared at us until we asked a question of them which made it a little difficult to figure out what all was going on. We had to hire a driver and pay them 20 dollars just so we could get our stuff down to the houseboat. They won’t let you take your vehicles down and it is about 1/4 mile from where you park to the boats so you’re kinda stuck. I thought that would just be a courtesy spice our 5 days for nights on a 60’ eagle houseboat with fuel ended up being around 10k. I also don’t remember paying extra for all the fuel when. We got back I thought we would have a tank of gas included for the price but as soon as we docked they asked for a credit card and proceeded to charge over 1500 dollars of fuel to my card unexpectedly. The worst part was the tie bar that allows you to steer with the boat motors broke on the first day during a wind storm and left us stranded in the middle of the lake the boat was rocking and we wore worried about capsizing or running into cliffs or rock and couldn’t reach anyone on the radio channel they told us to use for emergencies. This was now Monday around 1 pm on the day we got the boat. Then the rain came in with the wind and we knew we were in trouble I took one of the jet skis we had and drove about 3 miles in the wind and rain until I found cell service and it took me 4 tries and speaking to 2 different people before we could get help. Finally they sent maintenance people to help they worked for a while and couldn’t fix it then got another boat out and just beached us in the main channel on the closest beach and said someone would be by tomorrow morning or afternoon to fix it. They came the next day and worked for about another hour and got it fixed so now we can start our lake Powell vacation. After that the boat worked fine even though it was pretty old and banged up. Lots of peeling up pieces of carpet and Linoleum some stuff had been just half fixed. When we finished our trip and paid the 1500 dollars for fuel I asked if there was something they could do since we spent a day with a boat that didn’t work. They said “this kind of thing happens”. I argued that they made sure I knew if I damaged one of their props I would owe them 350 dollars but when they give me a boat that doesn’t work for the whole first day of our trip I get nothing back???? Then she accused me of getting a late start in the day which really bothered me because our whole group was there right at 8 am ready to board the boat. I asked what the maintenance was like on the boats and all she could tell me was they maintained them. I took pictures of the engine and the piece that broke so you can see what well maintained looked like. TERRIBLE customer service and a faulty boat and it still cost me 10k for 4 nights. Not a very good use of my money luckily there are other marinas because I love like Powell and don’t mind spending money to go when there is value given to me and my family and making sure we are safe and have a...
