Beautiful hike with lots of interesting features (railroad tracks, cable, ladder) and lots of slickrock. Corona Arch is beautiful and very large, plus you don't get a good view of it until near the end! Lots of mosquitos, especially near the end of the trail and on the Pinto Arch section. Including Pinto Arch, took 2h 15m with my parents (in their early 60s!). If we were to redo, would likely skip Pinto Arch - it's a relatively harder part of the trail and we found the arch less spectacular. I would take the first fork off for the views of Colorado River, but no need to hike it to its end imo. We started at 6:30 on a Saturday and had the trail to ourselves on the way up, saw quite a few more people on our way down. Left the parking lot around 8:30, still...
Read moreOur family has hiked this trail a number of times and find it one of the better ones. My recommendation if its summer is to go as early as possible to avoid heat and to have fewer people. Highly recommend it. I personally think kids as little as 3 or 4 could handle this depending on their disposition and how comfortable parents are. There are some places where you need to hold on to a chain to get up a steep area that might make some people uncomfortable with younger children. There is also a small ladder on the trail that has to be climbed. But my daughter hiked it in pointe shoes for a photo shoot, so it can't...
Read moreOne of our favorite hikes and arches near Moab. It was a very well maintained and well laid out hike, and they have a little ladder and a chain to help you in the slightly tougher areas. It's not tough though - none of us felt scared on this hike and we did feel scared doing Devil's Garden in Arches. This was a breeze hike and a fun one, although I could see parts of it being difficult for anyone who is not used to hiking at least a moderate amount. We had it basically all to ourselves except for a couple of other people, and we went towards the end of the day after doing Arches in...
