We are very happy with the furniture that we bought from Gerbers Home Furnishings, and we would highly recommend making your next furniture purchase with them. We first found Gerbers while looking for a dining room table. After a few disappointing experiences with some of the big furniture retailers around, we found that Gerbers could order an A-America table that interested us. Dave clearly set our expectations about the lead time and payment terms for a special order item. When the furniture arrived, Brady delivered and set it up for us. Everything met our expectations.
Based on a great first experience, we came back about 6 months later when we were ready to purchase bedroom and living room furniture. We visited the store and didn't see anything in stock that fit our interests, but Dave suggested we consider Whittier Wood, and provided us with a catalog. After searching a bunch of other brands and manufacturers, we settled on items from Whittier Wood for the bedroom and Legends for the living room. Dave was able to get all items ordered and delivered in about 4-5 weeks. Brady again delivered and set up all of the bedroom furniture.
Although the Whittier Wood pieces were a major purchase for us, we are extremely satisfied with the quality and we have no regrets. The bed, night stands, and dressers are all very solid and very well made. Read more1/9/2024 I have uploaded pictures of our "repaired" chair as well as a picture of the other chair that had no issues. This is a Gerber Furnishings issue after the repair by their service man. This chair cost $1,899 dollars. Dave Gerber has asked me to remove this review but if I were a customer I'd want to know about other peoples experiences especially when it ends up like this. Looking back we should have insisted on a replacement or refund from the very beginning I didn't want to be difficult so I gave Dave a chance to make it right unfortunately we are the losers.
6/22/23 We purchased 2 of these IMG chairs July 2022. 3 weeks after delivery there was a quality issue with one of the seats it had a huge hump in it. Dave Gerber tried to get the rep to do something no luck I emailed the factory and the rep stepped up and a new seat was ordered in September 2022. SO 1 year later on 6/21/2023 the replacement arrives and this is what we are left with. A bigger problem than we had in the beginning. I could never recommend these chairs from IMG and especially not in a fabric. Dave has tried to fix the problem but looking back the chair should have been taken back and sent in for repair or replacement in the beginning. Read moreThe sales man was helpful. I had a stroke and needed a chair with good back support and a small footprint. The showroom was crowded with furniture. I spotted a small leather recliner by a name that I was familiar with. Sat in the chair and it seemed right for me. Soon after I had the chair there were 2 issues with it and Gerber sent a technician who remedied the problem. However the lumbar support was not good enough for me and I could not sit in the chair with out pain in my back. I have other chairs and do not have that problem. Alas it has been 90 days and Gerber will not take the chair back. There time for refund or exchange is 48 HOURS. Really? I never ever heard of a warranty like that. SO BEWARE! If you don't like your purchase at Gerber you have only 48 HOURS to find that out and return it. So reading other reviews I am now convinced Dave discriminated against me because of my AGE. I am 83 years and like I said had a stroke in 2018.
