I took this hike with my dogs, early Aug 2023. Unbelievably, the falls were flowing! I think it's listed as an easy trail, but i think it's more moderate. Although it's not long, and it does go up and down, there are quite a few steep areas. I wish i had brought my hiking pole. As on any sunny day, a hat and water are def recommended. And non- slippery hiking shoes. As we went mid-week, parking was no problem... parking here does cost...$10? You can use a Larimer country pass, or use the pay station there. On weekends parking fills up, so an early start is recommended, as is car pooling. There are clean restrooms, water, and shaded pavillions with bbq's. From this lot you can choose the hike to HT Falls or HT Rock. Trails, are clearly marked....they both rock! We went to the top of the falls. In total 2.75 miles... took about...

This trail was wonderful to walk. Beautiful mountain views, we saw three deer at the bottom of the valley eating. We also saw a large buck (male deer) on top of the mountainside. Nice stream running in the middle of the hike and a waterfall with a shallow pond at the end of the trail. Best part is the park is dog friendly so we brought our dog to do the hike with us. But, must clean up after your dog and stay on the path. Make sure you bring some water to drink. The park does have public bathrooms and a water fountain at the start of the trail. Water fountain is for people and dogs (seperate fountains). Parking has video cameras and is patrolled with security for your...

First time visiting this place, unfortunately for us we visited in winter. It had just recently snowed, so the ground was somewhat muddy with snow scattered throughout. There was parking and rest room facilities at the base of the mountain. We began our hike and about 15 minutes in we hit a fork in the road, one continued hiking the other led to the falls. We walked about and ninety minutes to the falls but when we arrived there was only a drip of water coming down. It was all frozen, there was a large amount of snow and ice as it accumulated. It was still a gorgeous view and the air was so crisp and clean. The drive up there is phenomenal. We will definitely return in the...

Beautiful hike, loved seeing all of the wild flowers and soaking in all of the sights and sounds. If it weren’t for the crowds and the parking, it would have been a 4. Prepare to go early or later in the day once people start leaving. There’s an entrance gate ($10) that is closed until parking is available. One car in, one car out, and you aren’t allowed to wait for someone to leave. We lucked out and were waved in as soon as we pulled up. But several cars in front of us were told to turn around and exit.
