Parking is a nightmare, we literally can't ever even get to hike the trail. We've come here on the weekend at 8 am multiple times and circled the parking lot for 30 minutes and haven't been able to get a parking spot. Random other cars would start circling and get spots instead of us because there's no line or system in place for first come first serve, you literally just have to hope you get lucky and that no other car beats you to whatever space opens up when there's usually 5 other cars circling. We've seen tens of other people get mad and leave because there's no parking, they should have literally any system in place so that you can at least wait to get...

Husband and I did a quick hike on Wednesday morning in early February. Didn't go all the way to the top because we were short on time. However, for where we did get too, views were spectacular and the hike was smooth-not too steep, rocky, narrow, etc. A few spots still had ice/snow over them, but we made our way carefully and were fine. There were enough other people on the trails that you felt safe such that in the event something happened, someone else would be along shortly, but not too many that you felt crowded. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's got a few hours to kill...

Ahhhh!!!! This hike!!!

Y'all!!!! OK, my partner lived in Colorado for years, so he was all about this hike!

What he didn't tell me was that this was uphill for damn forever. So brace yourself, but truly, it's doable but if you haven't been moving in a bit, plan accordingly!

The hike was beautiful, so much to see and so much to discover. The trees tell their own stories, the viewpoint and the end is absolutely stunning. You have to climb some scary looking rocks but trust me, the thrill is very exciting!

A Must - The trail to Horsetooth Rock is an intermediate hike for those willing to climb a few boulders to reach stunning views. I highly recommend going on this adventure before the colder months, especially to view the sunset with some good friends. There are also plenty of smaller cliffs as well, so you can stop and take in the views along the way. I do not recommend this hike if you have mobility issues or aren't acclimated to the altitude.
