A bear story

A bear story I walked out of the house today and bumped into this guy. He was chomping down on some berries and sort of just ignored me.

So wonderful today..... rainy chill afternoon. We need the rain so badly... fire danger was getting high. Btw I saw a bear the other day cross that clear section in the photo. First sighting this summer.

Hunter Creek Trailhead in Aspen, CO, is a truly enchanting destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Nestled in the heart of the Rockies, this trailhead serves as the gateway to some of the most breathtaking hiking experiences in the area.

The trail itself offers a perfect blend of scenic beauty and moderate challenge, making it accessible for both beginners and seasoned hikers. The well-marked path winds through lush forests, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and vibrant wildflower meadows, especially in late spring and early summer.

Wildlife sightings are common, so keep your eyes peeled for deer, birds, and even the occasional fox. The sound of the nearby creek adds to the serene atmosphere, making it a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Facilities at the trailhead include parking and informational signs, which are helpful for first-time visitors. However, it's advisable to arrive early, especially during peak tourist seasons, as parking can fill up quickly.

Overall, Hunter Creek Trailhead is a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Aspen. Whether you’re seeking a leisurely hike or an invigorating adventure, this trailhead offers something for everyone. Don’t forget your camera—every turn offers a...

Otherwise you have to walk along the road which is pretty narrow. Would definitely recommend a trail map. The upper lot is only for hut-hikers, but the lower lot has...

A very fun trial with rocks and uneven surfaces, which we love. We started from Hunter Creek trail then connected to Smuggler Mountain road to finish the hike. The hike took 3 hours. This route was perfect because it’s fun and more challenging to start but finished very smoothly and easily. Spectacular scenery of the Aspen valley at the...
