We actually drove up this mountain, and it was probably a mistake we don't want to make when trying to visit the observation deck. The road starts fine, paved. Then it turns into gravel but an easy kind of road, before you can turn back it turns into real narrow one way drive gravel road with rocks. I would not recommend driving up there, even if Google Maps says it's drivable. It's a pretty steep drive and once you're on it, you can't go back unless you make it up and turn around. The road is mainly for bikers and hikers. We parked at an opening along the road and hiked the rest of the way up. Not too bad of a hike but it’s all uphill from the trailhead.
