Rendezvous Beach — Attraction in Four Corners States

We have been coming here for years and never once had a problem until now. We are a big family of adults and we don’t have more than 8 people per site but we have more than just one car. We have always had a towing vehicle and and additional vehicle included in out reservation. This year we had to pay extra for our second vehicle. They also raised their prices per night it just about costed the same for parking as it did for the campsite. I thought when I made a reservation with 2 vehicles I paid for 2 vehicles at that time but I guess I didn’t. They “changed their policy” but we booked long before the policy was changed. They literally changed the sign for car prices the day after we arrived. Now there is extra parking and in the past we have had 3 or 4 cars 2 on site and the others in overflow/additional parking. This year they would not let our 3rd car in because we already had 2 cars checked in. They had to park out sided of the campgrounds about a mile away from our site. It was ridiculous! We also had the least friendliest staff. The older people were nice and apologized,even stayed and chatted with us. But the younger workers were mean and rude. One even yelled at us when we were talking to an older worker about parking. We were upset but not demanding just wanted to know why/when the policy changed. I honestly don’t want to come back here. It has always been fun in the past but this last time was terrible. We constantly had people checking on us to make sure we were following the rules almost every hour! And some of them were not nice about it. Kinda made us feel like we were being watched 24/7 and vey uncomfortable. I go camping to relax and hangout with family not to have someone stop by every hour asking all these questions and looking at our site. I get that its their job but they never did it this often before and they have never been rude in the past. Maybe our family tradition has come to an end. Thinking about renting a cabin instead it will probably be cheaper after all...

This has been a loved campground for many years. However, the last few years have not been so good. The restrooms are absolutely filthy. If you complain about the restrooms being dirty, the staff treats you horribly. They have told us to clean them ourselves. We have paid to stay there, and the restrooms should be clean. This year we got to the campground after check out, but before check in. We were told that either purchase a day pass or wait until check in. We decided to drive around for a while, and decided to stretch our legs and get out of the car since we had been driving for a long time. They would not even let us park in the field before the gate. We had to pay if we parked at all. We decided to pay. Then there were no parking spots for a full sized vehicle and a small trailer. Similarly, two summers ago someone was sitting in our camping spot for two hours after check in time. We complained multiple times and no one made them leave, so we had to wait. After waiting for two hours, the campsite was horribly dirty. Even the camp host refused to clean it. They called the DNR to clean it. This campground needs adults running it. Not kids in their teens! The teens at the gate are very rude and mouthy. They need proper training to work with the public, which they obviously don't have. I will complain until I get a refund. This is the worst campground at bear lake. Do NOT camp here. I'm sure the KOA is...
