Tibble Fork is a pretty neat place to come and visit. There is camping nearby, hikes all around, amazing scenic drives up the mountain, and your able to get this with a short drive in through American Fork Canyon. We came on a particularly busy day. Parking was pretty horrendous but manageable. There are tons of parking spaces. This place also offers rest rooms as well. The water is quite cold but if it’s a hot day you could definitely jump in and cool off. There is a dock that you can walk down and on to the water. There is a loading/unloading spot for your kayak or canoe on the dock which is pretty neat. I would be real hesitant though to try and take a wheel chair or perhaps someone that is handicapped down the ramp, it’s really steep and slippery. Did I mention the views? Amazing. I’d recommend visiting even if it was just a stop on your trip through the canyon.

I love this lake and American Fork Canyon. Getting through the Ranger Station is a timely endeavour that you need to factor into your leisure. No matter how crowded the reservoir gets, I have never encountered rude behavior on it. People have fun, are loud but everyone respects one another. The very vast majority keeps the area clean. Very little litter. Dogs are aplenty and follow the lead of their humans: well behaved, enjoying nature's beauty and most cleaned up after. My plea to you all is to let's keep it that way. If you haven't been up there yet, you will not disappointed and avoid peak hours.

Wow! Huge improvement. With the new larger damn, the lake is bigger making it ideal for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing. They've added a great sandy beach area near the parking lot. The lake is stocked with hatchery trout for fishing. Best fishing is near the damn where the river water comes into the lake through a culvert. If you haven't been here since they finished construction on Tibble Fork, you're in for a treat. We walked across the damn, and hiked the trail on the far side, where we found a rope swing. Of course my teenage boys enjoyed swinging on and plunging into the snow melt ice cold lake. It looked fun, but I refrained. But I plan to return when the water is warmer. Many people bring atv's up on trailers and park at Tibble Fork, and ride the from there up the gravel road to Silver Lake Flats. My only complaint is that they should have redone the bathrooms. They only have 2 single use unisex bathrooms, and there seems to...

We just can't get enough of Tibble Fork! Even at the end of the year, the was still plenty of water in the reservoir to kayak in and have a great time! The reasons are always clean and well stocked, considering the crowds.

At the end of the dock they have are two types of launching.... once that has rollers and rails to pull yourself up on.... the other one has spaces where you can pull yourself onto it using your ears. This second one, you can launch yourself on and off either end.

Not having to compete for a parking spot with those who were bringing up their ATVs was much more pleasant.

Can't they park...
