Wow! Huge improvement. With the new larger damn, the lake is bigger making it ideal for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing. They've added a great sandy beach area near the parking lot. The lake is stocked with hatchery trout for fishing. Best fishing is near the damn where the river water comes into the lake through a culvert. If you haven't been here since they finished construction on Tibble Fork, you're in for a treat. We walked across the damn, and hiked the trail on the far side, where we found a rope swing. Of course my teenage boys enjoyed swinging on and plunging into the snow melt ice cold lake. It looked fun, but I refrained. But I plan to return when the water is warmer. Read moreTibble Fork is a pretty neat place to come and visit. There is camping nearby, hikes all around, amazing scenic drives up the mountain, and your able to get this with a short drive in through American Fork Canyon.

I would be real hesitant though to try and take a wheel chair or perhaps someone that is handicapped down the ramp, it’s really steep and slippery.
Did I mention the views? Amazing.
I’d recommend visiting even if it was just a stop on your trip...
Read moreWe just can't get enough of Tibble Fork! Even at the end of the year, the was still plenty of water in the reservoir to kayak in and have a great time! The reasons are always clean and well stocked, considering the crowds.
At the end of the dock they have are two types of launching.... once that has rollers and rails to pull yourself up on.... the other one has spaces where you can pull yourself onto it using your ears. This second one, you can launch yourself on and off either end.
Not having to compete for a parking spot with those who were bringing up their ATVs was much more pleasant.
Can't they park...
