I would like to share the worst experience that myself and family have ever experienced in our lives. We came from out of town to have a family vacation. We decided to take our kids to this place to have a fun outing. As soon as we got there the front desk lady Esperanza messed up our reloadable cards and also charged one of us incorrectly, we purchased go cart rides and also laser tag games. Once we walked out to the go cart station one of the go cart attendants told us that we needed wrist bands so there we go back inside to clarify our purchase once again we dealt with Esperanza where she stated that was not true we had purchased reloadable cards and we did not need to have wristbands and had one of the other attendants walk out with us to explain to the go cart attendant we had purchased reloadable cards. Our kids get in line to wait to be seated and one of the 15 yr old that was waiting in line was told to go to the back of the line. This whole time myself and the other parent were waiting right there with the kids to make sure everything went smoothly then all of a sudden the owner Rachel came out, went straight to the 15 yr old while yelling at him accused him of using a card that had already been used and told him that he needed to get off the premises. Mind you his mother and father were both right there, as a business owner she should of gone to them and explained the situation and asked to see the receipt. Myself and his mother approached her to find out what was going on and she began to yell at us and of course we also raised our voices because she had NO BUSINESS going up to 15 yr old and harassing him when the adults were right there and she could of asked us to see our receipts to verify that everything had been paid for. This is our first time in Pine Top, our first time at this place and had no clue how any of these game cards work. I told Rachel for her just to refund us our money because the experience was already ruined she obviously did not want any Mexican Americans in their business and she had the audacity to say I don’t have to give you your money back if you “ DON’T SHUT UP”! She kept repeating herself to justify her actions by saying all she was doing was doing was verifying that he did not steal the card, if that was the case you as a business owner you don’t go up to a minor and accuse him of stealing and tell him to get off the premises before she even had the opportunity to verify our receipts, if we would not of been there imagine how she treats children while their parents are not around. I explained to her as a business owner that is not how you conduct yourself and all she had to say to me was “well how about you get your own business and you can run it the way you want”. After all of this she knew that her employee Esperanza is ultimately the one that completely messed up and gave him the incorrect game card and with that information never once did she bother apologizing nor did Esperanza knowing it was her fault this all happened. She was too busy trying to be rude to us that she couldn’t even know her faults. Rachel I am pretty sure you will respond to this review and lie about what happened to try to not make yourself look like a horrible person and also a business owner! You can reply with whatever you would like to reply with but I hope everyone reads this and knows this place is owned by a horrible person. It is not the place itself unfortunately it is the people that work here that make it an unpleasant place to be at. And just an FYI I DON’T NEED TO HAVE MY OWN BUSINESS TO KNOW THE ETHICS OF HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE AND ESPECIALLY TOURISTS! Also know that the majority of the workers there were not wearing any masks...
Read moreFirst let me say that I love the idea of the go-karts and I really want this place to succeed but our past 3 experiences have been questionable. We have been vacationing in Pinetop for the past 13 years, visiting as many as 5 or 6 times a summer. Every time we visit, we've made a point of going to the track. Our group can be up to a dozen people at a time. It has always been a blast and our group keeps getting bigger. Last year, something changed. New management? Change in policy? Not sure. All at once, the WMFFP slowed the family cars down, shortened the race times, and raised the prices to $8 (60% increase). Whoa. I'm not sure how you attract more (or retain customers) with a hat trick like that. We hoped that it was a temporary change as we looked forward to this summer season of '17. On 6/3/17 (our first trip of the summer) we stopped in with a group of 10 people and noticed the prices had not changed (still $8). So, we mentioned that it would be more attractive if they went back to longer races or faster cars (or both). Not expecting an immediate change or full catering, it would've been nice to at least hear something like, "we're looking into it" or "I'll mention that to the owners". The response we got was literally, "Yeah, Nice try". We went on to race a couple of times and, to no surprise after our initial conversation, the races were still slower and shorter. If you're going to raise the prices, make it a better experience. On the track and at the ticket counter. We tried it one more time on 6/10/17 with the same group of 10. Still no changes. This time we all raced 2 times and thought we had enough for one more race. We handed the game card to the attendant and asked him to swipe it for all of us. As it turned out, we only had $76 on the card (short by $4). One of us would have to sit out. We asked him if we could all ride and we would go pay for the extra ride right afterward. His answer was simply "No". He had just watched our group of 10 ride twice prior (totaling $80 per round each) and could not muster up any creative accommodation for our situation. So, one person was left to watch the others race. In summary, the quality of the entertainment has declined while cost has increased. The management and the employees have no sense of customer relations. It would appear that the new management is not customer-focused. They must be absolutely swamped with customers on the days we aren't there. It's the only way I could understand the way you would treat a large, regular group of customers this way. We'll be looking at other options for family entertainment during our visits from now on. For those of you looking for ideas, here are a few.
Horseback riding - several stables in the area and all are very friendly. We've gone many times. Golf - Numerous courses that are chasing business, some are even putting on golf clinics for kids. Our kids have participated for several summers and love it. White Mountain Speedway Park - Watch dirt track racing for very little money. Fishing - Rent boats, fishing gear and more. Many places to fish. Shooting - Many places to go shooting in the area even if you aren't a hunter.. ATV/Motorsports - For the amount we spent at WMFFP, we'd pay off an ATV quickly. Hiking - Too many trails to choose from...
Get out and have fun. I hope the owners of this place come to their senses before...
Read moreGM TOLD ME MY DISABLED TODDLER'S MOBILITY DEVICE WAS A "LIABILITY TO THEIR BUSINESS".*
I'm not quite sure if the companies GM has any common sense or an ounce of human decency. Our extended family, my husband and I and our two boys, one of which happens to be disabled, visited this arcade a few months ago. The GM approached us in the middle of the arcade cafe in front of other patrons and told me that my son's mobility device he uses to stand up right and move was, "a liability to her business." I was shocked and almost speechless! I asked her if she knew ADA law? She said she was a special educations teacher for 12 years and knew it all. I explained that his device was issued by his licensed PT and OT and gave her the name of the organization my son receives disability services from. I tried to explain why he uses the device and what it was (he also wears a helmet for his protection.) I couldn't understand how a 18 lb toddler on a small walker could be a liability. She just continued to boast about being a "special educations teacher for 12 years" and repeating "this is a liability". By the time this conversation was wrapping up, I was in tears. I felt so horrible for my little boy and couldn't believe she would actually continue to essentially call my son a liability. We had already spent lots of money in her "Family Fun Park." My mother, father and sister and brother-in-law were with us too and witnessed the confrontation. My mother had noticed that 2 female employees seemed to be following my son around the arcade floor staring at him earlier on. I thought they probably just thought he was cute or interesting and blew it off. Now I know they were actually following him. I did report them to the ADA and our AG. Unfortunately the agencies "do not have the resources to continue to investigate", but did refer us to a disability rights attorney. I would prefer that this company receive some ADA compliance training rather than have to get a lawyer. Perhaps she could grow a heart and find a bit of compassion for a child that has been through hell. I can only pray that as my son enters school he never encounter such blatant discrimination and heartlessness from a "special educations teacher". There are so many wonderful businesses to choose from in Lakeside, AZ; none of which have ever approached us about my son's device. Of the numerous businesses we visit this is the only business that has ever approached us about our son's device. His device gives him the freedom to be a typical toddler and has encouraged physical strength and confidence. In my opinion, taking that freedom away from an innocent child is the real...
