Me and a couple friends went at one of the worst times possible because we went when the snow had melted and turned to water and turned into ice on the major pathways.
We needed to traverse the sidewalls of the path in between the mud and dirt, grabbing trees not to slip and tracking time as we clearly did not know it was going to take us at least an hour.
We imagined it was a 15 minutes in and 15 minutes out but as we walked forward and it kept going we doubled our time until the fork. There were two points but one was a flat fiver of ice and the other had rocks to stand on so rocks it was. We slowly ascended upwards only to find what seemed like a waterfall of ice for what we learned was supposed to be steps to get all the way up. We were confused BUT people were coming down so there was a way up. I would definitely recommend taking people during the winter on this trail.
In the end we did make it up and gosh darn it was worth it. Don't get me wrong I hate the fact that it was worth it because my favorite jeans and shoes (not boots) got beyond dirty but it was worth it.
To watch the snow on top of the white mountains, to see the vast sea's of trees, the sound of wind and nothing else but the slight charter of friends. It was definitely a spot to just sit and take in the size of what you climbed. Would definitely do again...

It offers hikers moderate exercise and incredible natural beauty. This trail is a perfect way to experience the stunning landscapes, especially during the fall season when the mountains turn red and yellow—what a wonderful view!
The trail itself is a 1.5-mile loop, making it accessible for hikers of various skill levels. We spent around 30 minutes reaching the top, and it was worth every second of the hike. Sitting on the rock at the top of the mountain and staring at the view of the blue lake surrounded by the red and yellow mountains was one of the most breathtaking sights we have ever seen in our lives.
So pack your camera, lace up your hiking boots, and set out to explore the Artist Bluff Trail—you won’t be...
Read moreIt was an AMAZING experience! Usually people associate fall with the colours and the sun, but fall during a rainy, gloomy and foggy weather is on another level! There is absolutely no internet and service throughtout, you will get a little at the top, so I would suggest you to download the trail. It is not needed to be honest, because you can just follow the trail, and it's pretty easy to figure out your way. One problem is you won't know where to start the trail because there are no directions for the starting point. You need to check for an opening in the parking lot itself. Just walk around. Also, the portable washrooms were extremely dirty. And be prepared to get some dirty clothes and shoes because it was very slippery,...
