This beach is perfect on a hot day. The water is always cold and it has everything one needs for a completely relaxing and fun day at the lake. There is a roped off swimming area with plenty of space and some shady spots. There are picnic tables and charcoal grills. Paddle boats, single and double kayaks are available to rent by the hour at reasonable prices. The gift shop is stocked with everything that may have been forgotten: chairs, towels, goggles, snacks, hats, sunscreen, swim diapers, even bagging suits. They sell already inflated floatables, most $5-$10, but also have deluxe floating unicorns and such for up to $50. It is easy to get to off the highway, which is heard and seen from the beach. But the overwhelming view of the mountains overwhelms the sight and sound of the highway. One could literally just pull off the highway, but a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen and snacks with zero preparation. Entry was $4/per adult. Kids under 5 are free. Kids age 6-11 are $3. No lifeguard on duty. There are RV spots available for $50/night in the parking lot. They don’t appear to be private during the day, but once the beach closes would be very private. This beach is cool, quiet...

I called to ask about when they open and about pets on the beach. I can 100% understand why no pets on the beach area, but to absolutely refuse any answer as to why a service dog can’t go to the beach with their owner for a medical condition is absolutely baffling. I asked about the service dog being allowed, I got told no and so I asked why as I deserve a right to know why I can’t bring my service dog and the woman proceeded to give me so much attitude and told me to buy a ticket if I wanted her to dispute information on if my service dog can come with me. I have several conditions and I am out here visiting on a camping trip and thought it would be fun to visit some beaches but because it’s so hot, I need my service dog with me in case my conditions act up. At the very least the woman could’ve given me an answer as to why my medical helper couldn’t come with me to cool off and enjoy some sun instead of being entirely disrespectful. Do not assume just because of your previous experiences that everyone has a fake service dog, some people actually need them; ESPECIALLY if you’re not going to have...

It was our third destination during one day in Franconia Notch. We came at 5pm, just one our before closing. On the parking was a sign Sold Out for today. But I decided to give it a try, and found out that even with that sign it is not a problem to buy entrance tickets, $4 for adult, $2 for kid. There were many people still coming and coming. And at 6pm only bathroom is closed, but the beach remains accessible too but with no facilities. The funniest thing is that it was our third time here, and only the first when we enetered the beach, because we believed the sold out sign. The water was cold, but refreshing. The beach is small, sand is with small pebbles. You can rent a boat, can pedal there. We managed only to swim a little. After 6pm restroom closed, but many people were still entering the beach. Also have seen many...
