Free parking with some accessibility spaces, bathrooms (sometimes out of order), a pretty park at the bottom of the canyon, and an entire canyon super close to heavily-populated areas that makes you feel youâre out in the middle of nowhere! There really isnât much to dislike about this place. Franklin Canyon is super cool and worth checking out - especially this place since itâs free to visit!    Read moreGreat quick local hike. Not usually too crowded during the week. Slightly more crowded on weekends, as expected. Fellow hikers are respectful and offer a friendly smile. There are also some great side trails to explore.
It's really a shame that the developers are destroying the top of the trail. I've been hiking this trail for well over a decade and the peaceful natural wonder just keeps getting eroded away more and more. It's one of of the few remaining places in the area where we can get away from the chaos of the city for a few minutes....
