I had an inferior experience here. I was there at that location at a designated driver capacity. I had a security guard threaten to pull me out of my car and also tell me he was an off-duty police officer which turned out not to be true I had somebody in management use profanity and I was all struck at their lack of communication. This location had a high level of unethical behavior and discrimination. These individuals also gave untrue statements to the police not knowing my dashcam was on or I assume they did not realize my dashcam was on. I have elevated concern for the public with this security guard and have added a clinical profile which is simply my perception. identity and Self-Perception: This individual may suffer from low self-esteem and a need for validation. The false claim of being a police officer suggests a desire for authority and respect that he feels he cannot achieve through legitimate means. This behavior could be indicative of Impostor Syndrome, where the person feels they do not deserve their current position and must fabricate an enhanced identity to gain respect and authority.
Paranoia and Hypervigilance: Wearing too much tactical gear in inappropriate settings may indicate paranoia or a heightened sense of threat. This behavior is often seen in individuals with Paranoid Personality Disorder (PPD) or those with anxiety disorders. Such individuals might feel constantly under threat and believe that extreme preparedness is necessary for their safety.
Communication and Social Skills: The lack of communication skills and the use of threats of violence when unobserved suggest difficulty in managing interpersonal relationships. This could be indicative of Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD), where individuals may have difficulty understanding and respecting social norms and the rights of others. This can lead to manipulative or aggressive behaviors, especially when they believe there will be no consequences.
Education and Cognitive Functioning: The absence of a college degree might not directly impact personality but could suggest limited opportunities for cognitive and social development, affecting problem-solving skills and emotional regulation.
Aggressive Behavior: The tendency to use threats of violence when unobserved may indicate underlying aggression and impulsivity, traits often associated with Conduct Disorder in childhood or Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED) in adulthood. These individuals may resort to threats or actual violence to assert dominance or out of...
Read moreI think this place should seriously train their staff and management on the risks of a patron having a heat stroke outside in the Texas summer heat before getting slapped with a lawsuit. We arrived there around noon and went outside to their outdoor area where we purchased three $50 bottles of wine totaling $150. We sat down to take in the day and check out the rhinos. After about 30-45 mins a friend complained about feeling dizzy and light headed even after drinking water. We decided it would be best to go inside to let her cool down. Once inside we noticed plenty of tables and bar stools empty but they all had reserved placards. We asked a waitress how we could get a table and she said it was reserved for wine tasting. At that point we located a single chair by the entry door which had a small coffee table next to it so we decided to let her sit there and the other three of us would stand. After about twenty minutes a security guard by the name of Patterson came over and asked us to leave because we were being unruly and were told to leave numerous times. We were preplexed and thought it was initially a joke because not a single employee had mentioned a word to us. Not being the confrontational types we obliged and left the establishment. I was embarrassed to say the least as I've never experienced such treatment. I came to find out all the reserved tables (that we didn't sit at) were for any patrons who paid $25 for their wine tasting promotion. Fair enough but what about the patrons who purchased bottles of wine from you. Do they not have the privilege of having any type of seating indoors where you have cool temps. What is your protocol for someone experiencing symptoms of a heat stroke? Do you guys pride yourself on customer service and an environment that leaves patrons with a good experience or one that only cares about profits? Does the health and safety of your patrons matter the least bit? If so then there should be available seating for all patrons to have a chance to cool down as opposed to leaving empty chairs no one is using. Based on the reviews I can see our group isn't the only one who experienced this type...
Read moreI’m tempted to give this winery another go in a year, but was overall underwhelmed this first go around . After having been to many wineries in the area over the years , we wanted to try this one out , and I hope this review helps others as well . By no means was the service rude , but by no means were they attentive to our needs or showed urgency in their craft or us. Something to consider is that all of the wines are bottled and brought in since the grapes are not mature or established yet , so that is different from other vineyards in the area. I like the idea of having the selection of South African wine , but the price didn’t match my experience and expectations . The tasting room ambiance smelled like the bathroom , which doesn’t surprise me since the bathroom has an open floor concept and is connected to the tasting room . Nothing was explained to us about the rhino except that his name was Blake and that there is a gift shop section to buy merchandise , which supports the rhinos . As we walked to see Blake in his enclosure, we heard another server giving facts about rhinos which made us interested. Blake is very engaging, magnificent , and is clearly beloved , however, when you step back and look at everything it felt like it was rather exploitative. My feedback is to make the message or experience more educational with signs and information for those that want that option . If it is there , we missed it , but I think that that in itself is important to note . I’m an animal lover and supporter so I would’ve loved that engagement piece since we didn’t get that from our waiter . Seeing rhinos everywhere in the decor is great as the emblem , but it had a disconnect for me with the overall genuine message of the winery. I left with mixed feelings about what I was...
