Crucian Adventure Divers — Attraction in Frederiksted

I had a truly wonderful experience diving with Crucian Adventure Divers. The entire team is fantastic, but I especially want to highlight Kim, who went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable.

From the start, Kim was incredibly calm, patient, and attentive. She worked at my pace, never rushed me, and explained things multiple times to make sure I felt comfortable and reassured. Even after I successfully completed all my skills, I struggled with anxiety about diving into deeper water. Instead of pushing me, Kim brought me back to the shop, where she provided extra videos and written materials to help me understand everything at a deeper level.

She then invited me to come back the next morning, free of charge, and walked me through everything again. Thanks to her extra time, care, and encouragement, I was able to overcome my anxiety and enjoy my dive with her the next day. Underwater, she was just as supportive—holding my hand when needed and giving me the confidence to continue.

My daughter and I rented snorkeling equipment from "Adventures in Diving STX". We had been snorkeling before and had rented from another shop on St Croix. This was a totally different experience. Kim assisted us making sure we had just the right equipment including shoes to wear in the flippers to make sure we didn't get blisters. She prepared our masks so they wouldn't fog and ensured that we knew hot to fit them to our faces just right. She instructed us on where to go and made us feel totally prepared and taken care of, even though we did not go on a guided tour. It ended up to be the best snorkeling experience of my life. When we returned she even gave us hair conditioner to use when we washed off with fresh water. The owner and other staff seemed really nice, too. Frederiksted Pier is a wonderful place to snorkel. I earned my SSI Certification through Adventures in Diving STX. Mitch was a wonderful instructor. Patient, thorough, and made sure I understood all the skill to be successful. Mitch found an Octopus for me to see which was pretty cool!

Andrea took me on my final checkout dive and took a lot of time to search and point out different species. We saw a good size stingray. Their gear is in great shape.
