Niles Beach — Attraction in Fremont

Finally, a freshwater beach close enough to South Bay where we can go swim with the kids! They have lifeguards, cordoned off shallow swimming sections and a decent sized beach area. Good for families with young kids. We even saw small fish swimming in the shallow water. The water temperature was nice and warm-ish, which is a refreshing change from other water bodies here :) It was also nice and breezy, not cold and windy like, say, Shoreline in Mountain View. Looks like a nice beach, however it was closed when we visited (7/2/25) because of the green...

Now closed off because of a private road that leads to a missionary looking place....
