Last week our group of 10 did the chuckwagon/dinner/wild west show. I was expecting it to be entertaining for the 3 and 5 year old children in our group, but all of the adults ended up loving it, too! From the moment we gathered outside of our cars in the parking lot, the staff and the actors were on point, making sure everyone was taken care of and having a great time. After a short wagon ride pulled by friendly mules, we were at the property. Surrounded by gorgeous mountains and a peek of the reservoir, we had dinner and drinks, and enjoyed a hilarious interactive wild west show at our reserved tables. Games like horseshoes, ladder toss, lasso practice, cornhole and ringtoss were in a corral right outside the dinner/show tent and available the entire evening. Dinner was buffet style BBQ, second helpings were encouraged, and the food was better than I expected. The whole thing seemed effortless and just the right amount of western kitsch, which I know means that actually a lot of thought went into the planning and execution. A special shout out to the Sheriff for keeping us all safe from Dirty Dog! I wouldn't have booked this event if we didn't have kids in our group, but after going, I'd highly recommend it not just for families but even for adults looking for a unique, silly and...
Read moreMy wife and I went in the Chuckwagon Dinner and Comedy show without any children and we had a fantastic time. Staff was tremendously friendly, welcoming and loved talking about their mules that were used to pull the wagons. The views were stunning, the weather was gorgeous and the dinner was a 10 out of 10. We enjoyed delicious warm biscuits with butter, jelly and honey as your available toppings before dinner. Out dinner included baked beans, sliced brisket, shredded chicken, corn on the cob and a mouth watering corn bread muffin. They had 4 sauces to choose from, 3 of which were homemade and a Sweet Baby Rays for the city folk. We both loved the one which had jalepeno and the other one was maple flavored. Both were excellent. Lots of games to play before and after the dinner and show like corn hole, roping, bean bag toss, swing a ring onto a hook, horseshoes and others. The comedy show was very funny and entertaining. The show is designed to entertain children and adults of all ages. We can’t wait to come back in the winter for the sleigh rides and dinner....
Read moreThis was one of the funniest experiences I've ever had. First off all, I tried making reservations for a Sleigh ride dinner at Adventure Park but the people on the phone were not the friendly. John on the other hand was very friendly on the phone and made me feel more welcomed. My fiancé and I came here right after I proposed to her at Sapphire Point. The sleigh ride was a lot of fun and everyone on the ride was very friendly as well. We all took turns helping each group take pictures. The dinner was very fun and a great time. There is hot chocolate waiting, then a southwestern soup and bread, followed by steak, chicken, baked potato and then apple pie with whipped cream. The food is good but not top quality but I believe it is mostly experience you are paying for. There is live music and he takes requests. He found out we were just engaged and had us slow dance in front of everyone while he played music. A lot of other guests took pictures and videos and sent them to us. I would definitely recommend this to anyone...
