The grounds, the lobby and the auditorium were very clean and the staff were completely professional. They were also so friendly to my husband, the other patrons and I. We went to the Thrasher-Horne Center to see the production of Shen-Yun. It's the telling of life in China before Communism, shown through dance! The costumes were gorgeous! The talent and dedication of these dancers ... AMAZING!! The dancers, orchestra members, choreographers, live, 😴 and breathe SHEN-YUN !!! Their dedication and long years of training for Classical Chinese Dancing, exudes all over their bodies and faces on the stage!! These wonderful young dancers emoted and triggered emotions in me, including the lady sitting next to me. She and I were crying and wiping our tears away by the time the curtain began to come down. SHEN-YUN was visually STUNNING!!! There were parts that caused me to chuckle. Other parts that touched my senses. Then, there were parts of the production that had me laughing hysterically. SHEN-YUN has 2 more days that you readers can possibly get 🎟 🎫 s for the 13th and the 14th of January 2022. I think @2pm. If you can get tickets, please GO. These dancers put everything that's in them and put what they have ON THAT STAGE!! GO! ENJOY!!! As a former dancer and choreographer, the dancers' lines were exisite and they were in sync with each other in every dance scene. I gave them a 4 🌟 rating instead of a 5 🌟, because the prices they charge for a box of 🍿 or a can of soda was...
Read moreSo embarrassed of the crowd last night and the unprofessionalism of the venue. We paid to hear Howie Mandel, not a bunch of drunk hecklers. It’s a comedy show of course there will be drinking and a little bit of banter between the comedian and the audience but last night was ridiculous. It was clear Howie was uncomfortable and made comments along the lines of: “Maybe I should get a ticket and sit in the audience let you tell the jokes.” and “This has been a weird show.” He didn’t outright say stop and kept making sarcastic comments but people and staff did not get the hint. The venue staff did nothing to stop hecklers or people using their phones when a sign was posted saying photography during the show was not permitted. The show just abruptly ended without a typical goodnight message and we were told by the concession staff that there would be an intermission and the show would go until 9:45 but they ended at 8:50. A woman also well intentioned came to the stage to give Howie a gift and while the intention was well meaning, it is not allowed during a show and security should have been more vigilant. That will be the last time I see a comedy show...
Read moreSo, this place thinks they can infinitely reschedule events beecause of COVID and then call you up three weeks before the rescheduled time (you can't be sure it is actually going to happen because they already rescheduled it twice) and tell you they are refunding a portion of your VIP package because of... you guessed it COVID and the performer's concern about risk because of COVID. Then refuse to refund the ENTIRE price you paid when you tell them that you can't attend because of...COVID and your doctor's instructions which you can send them the letter from said doctor. However, they convienently forget their initial offer to refund the tickets entirely because they were purchased before COVID. They double down and then state they have a no refund policy, and advise you to resell the tickets they haven't given you yet. They then send you the actual tickets 8 days before the event leaving no real window to actually sell the tickets. Then deliver the refund on the rest of the ticket costs to you two days before the event. They apparently like violating the Americans with...
